"Fresh Old School" and "Tiger Mountain Peasant" from u/se7en8n9ne. The former is a great blend of older hip-hop, and the latter is a solid miniature featuring the folksier side of rock. Both are excellent and I highly recommend trading for them if you can.

"A Beautiful Infinity" is mix of ethereal yet still grounded tracks split into two movements. "Son of Summer Frankenstein" is a really great upbeat mix. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised that one of the tracks she put on the first mix CD she made for me was on here. Both of these were from u/MrAtomSteam, who also happened to be my first match in the themed monthly mixtape trade! Great J-cards, too!

"Music of the Inland Empire" from u/Easy_Contract_757. A really eclectic mix of local music tracked in a way that sounds very cohesive. Also loving the distinct art direction with all of their mixtapes, and of course the buttons and stickers were a great addition!

"Off Leash" from u/AnalogSally. Also really digging the way they put together their tapes. This is a one-off that was made with the same vibe as their Roadtrip Mixtape, and even came with a Biz Markie card! I sent back a 90s-ish mix and a Saved by the Bell trading card in return. Also looking forward to receiving my first mix from the Instagram @mixtape.exchange they run as well!

Finally, we have "Around the World" parts 1 and 2 from u/MrLCGriso. These were the first mixtapes I traded for, and it's just wall-to-wall bangers on each. Highly recommend, even if world music isn't your thing. LCG also helped me with troubleshooting some issues I was having with recording, so I sent them a few extra tapes in return.

Really digging the community and all the great new (to me) music I've been able to hear.

For trade: SNKRS and The VA Tape

SNKRS is focused on electronic music, and The VA Tape is focused on hip-hop artists from Virginia.

Drunk by the Pool: A Great Summer Mix

Another stellar mixtape, this time from u/Easy_Contract_757.

Artwork and orange case match the vibe of the playlist, which includes everything from Funkadelic to Wings to King Gizz and Jimmy Buffett.

Highly recommend.

Does the BigMe B6 Black & White have a screen comparable to an Xteink X4?

I recently just purchased a BigMe B6 color and an Xteink X4. The screen on the X4 seems so much better, and easier to see under the light of a lamp.

I've heard color e-ink displays have noticeably less contrast than black & white displays. Would the black & white model of the B6 be comparable to the contrast of the X4?

Got my roadtrip mixtape

Thanks to u/MrAtomSteam for this gem of a mixtape. The artwork is great, the track list is absolutely killer, and the recording quality is *chef's kiss*

It's a perfect mix of what I would listen to while driving in my late teens/early 20s, and stuff I'd hear on the radio or coming out of the cassette deck while driving around with my dad as a youngster.

New hobby unlocked

Missed the boat on being a graphic designer. Now I spend my free time staying up late to make artwork to accompany my mixtapes & playlists.
