Meet my printed meat.

A little scanned and printed meat project for the MO State Fair. They wanted some realistic props that could be left out for extended periods of time. There’s a full suite of meat, but here’s a few of my favorites.

What are some long-term useful items you'd get from Amazon if you had several thousand in points and liked guns, cars, and guitars?

I'm hiring. Industrial 3D Printing, Hallsville

Hello all,

I see jobs wanted type posts regularly, here's the flipside.

My small business offers what would be most easily described as "fancy 3D printing services". The machines don't share a lot in common with consumer FDM or resin printers, although having interest in the tech is certainly a good thing!

I have two openings currently.

  1. Additive Tech-this is an entry level role. $16-$18/hr.
----Not a ton needed besides a good attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to consistently be at work on time. Part postprocessing, machine cleaning and basic maintenance. There is upward mobility possible in this position as knowledge increases.

  2. DMLS Machine Operator-reasonable mechanical knowledge necessary. $20-$30/hr.

----As we add more metal printing capacity, a dedicated employee for maintaining an operating schedule is desired. Experience with these machines is not super common, but certainly desired if you happen to be one of the few! At its core, this position revolves around machine prep and cleanup before and after jobs, basic troubleshooting and maintenance, and being able to keep several machines operating on an efficient schedule. This is not a coding or build job creating position, I handle that part, but there would be collaboration in reporting exact run times, etc.

Happy to answer any questions.

Classic Car Mechanic?

I have an old Rolls that is currently at Tom's Auto for some brake work.

It's been there a while and I was recently told their classics mechanic is leaving.

Are there any other mechanics in town that mess with more specialty vehicles like this?

AOS indication?

I recently purchased a higher mileage 996. Previous owner said AOS went bad after a recent track day, it smoked when he took it off a trailer after.

Since then I have started it several times, no smoke at all. Driving short distances, no smoke that I’ve seen.

I’m not sure what vacuum anecdotally to expect at the fill cap, but it doesn’t seem like the extreme I see described online.

Here’s a video. I basically don’t see any indication at all of AOS issue. Is it possible he just had some blowby from a nearly 130k mile car having a track day, that smoked the next start?

Anyone interested in a 4200 setup?

I have upgraded my 4200 that was my TPA machine to a 5620 Pro running TPU.

This is a good condition, sorted 4200 with processing station and two carts, all upgraded to run TPA.

(2) pallets of material would be included.

If anyone is interested, let me know! Not even sure what to list for price. I see clapped units for $20,000, and “refurbished” over $150,000. My price would be right, in my mind. I paid $125,000 two years ago and got it sorted to achieve great TPA results.
