Safety Reminder for All Members

Over the past few weeks, we've noticed an increase in users/ lurkers reaching out to members of this subreddit through DMs. We've also come across instances of users pretending to be women in order to gain members' trust.

As a women-only community, your safety and privacy are our top priority. While we work to keep this space safe, we also encourage everyone to take a few precautions to protect themselves on Reddit.

1. Protect your identity

  • Avoid sharing your full name, workplace, college, school, or any other personally identifiable information.
  • Avoid mentioning your exact city, locality, or places you visit regularly.
  • Don't use the same username across Reddit and your other social media accounts if you want to stay anonymous.

2. Be cautious with DMs

  • Just because someone says they're a woman doesn't mean they are.
  • If someone from this subreddit messages you unexpectedly, exercise caution before sharing anything personal.
  • You are never obligated to reply to DMs or chat requests.

3. Limit who can contact you

You can disable or restrict DMs, chat requests and followers.

On Reddit (Web):

Privacy settings → Chat requests

To allow specific people to send you chat requests, select Allowlist, enter a username, and select Add.

On the Reddit App:

Settings → Account Settings/General → Chat and messaging permissions → Chat Requests

To allow specific people to send you chat requests, select Allowlist, enter a username, and select Add.

We recommend turning off:

  • Allow people to follow you
  • Allow chat requests
  • Allow direct messages

If you ever need to receive a message from someone you trust, you can temporarily adjust your chat and message settings to allow messages or chat requests, and then turn them back off afterwards.

4. Don't move conversations off Reddit

Be cautious if someone asks you to continue the conversation on WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Discord, LinkedIn, or any other platform. Sharing your social media accounts or phone number can make it much easier for someone to identify you.

Similarly, don't share your resume or click on LinkedIn profiles sent by strangers. LinkedIn often reveals who viewed a profile, which could compromise your anonymity.

5. Review what you've shared

Even old comments can reveal a surprising amount about you.

If you're concerned about your privacy, you can review your Reddit history and remove posts or comments that reveal too much personal information.

6. Report harassment

If you receive:

  • Harassing or abusive messages
  • Sexual or inappropriate DMs
  • Threats
  • Stalking behaviour
  • Users impersonating women
  • Any other behaviour that makes you uncomfortable

Please:

  • Block the user.
  • Report them to Reddit.
  • Send us a modmail if the interaction is connected to r/TwoXKeralam so we're aware of the issue.

We take these reports seriously and will take action where possible.

Finally, remember that your safety is always more important than being polite. You don't owe strangers your time, your attention, or a response.

If you have any additional safety tips that could help other members, please share them in the comments. As our community grows, we'll compile these into a permanent safety guide for r/TwoXKeralam.

[SEARCHING] TH7 | Level 33 | Clan castle level 3

I would like to participate in clan war, and other aspects of the clan. I am a new player and it’s been about a month since I started. I try and play everyday. I haven’t been able to find a proper clan for myself, with active members.

Moderator Applications Open

Hi everyone,

We are looking to add 2 new moderators to support the sub as it continues to grow. The volume of posts, reports, and discussions has reached a point where additional help is needed to keep moderation consistent and timely.

The role expects moderators:

• Review posts and comments
• Handle reports and the mod queue
• Respond to modmail when needed
• Enforce subreddit rules fairly and consistently

This also includes the occasional bonus feature of being called biased, PR, or secretly affiliated with a bunch of influencer sisters. If you can handle that without turning it into an argument, you will do fine here.

Who we are looking for:

• Active on the sub
• Level-headed and neutral in discussions
• Able to differentiate criticism and personal attacks
• Able to commit time to regular moderation activity

The aim is to maintain a space for discussion and critique without it turning into unnecessary hostility or daily conspiracy theories about moderation. Additional moderators will help us do that more effectively.

If you are interested, please apply using the mod application option on the subreddit page. The application will close once we select shortlist applicants. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to send a modmail.

Thank you.

Edit: here’s the link for the application

Is £320 cleaning charge normal for a studio in Leeds? (deposit dispute)

Hi everyone,

Just wanted a quick sense check on a deposit issue.

I moved out of a studio flat in Leeds (LS6) and my landlord is claiming £350 total from my £825 deposit via DPS:

  • £320 for cleaning
  • £30 for rubbish removal

For context:

  • I vacuumed before leaving
  • Kitchen counters, hob, sink and shower were clean
  • There may have been some limescale in the toilet
  • I did leave some boxes, bedding and a few small items as the outside bins were full

I am okay with the £30 rubbish charge, but £320 for cleaning feels quite high for a studio.

Also:

  • I paid the deposit on 21 August 2024, but it was only protected on 10 October 2024
  • Landlord has offered to send photos of the studio (I had taken a few when I had moved out).

Just wondering:

  • Is £320 a normal cleaning cost for a studio in Leeds?
  • Has anyone disputed something similar through DPS?
  • Does the late deposit protection make any difference here?

Thanks!
