2025 Lease return inspection

I had openlane inspection of our lease ending in December yesterday. The inspector asked me if I had the owner manual and I told him it didn't come with owners manual or charging cord. In the inspection report which says GM financial at the top, there is a line for missing charging cord $470 and another one for missing manual.

I have a cloudy copy of window sticker that I had downloaded during lease discussion that shows NO charging cord and salesman has said no printed owner manual. 2025 EQEV did not have charging cord included unless it was in the window sticker.

I had a wheel curb rash that was repaired and painted and not really visible unless you sit in front of the wheel. It is being called out and $85 assigned to it. A six inch scratch is $126 and 1 inch chip is $45. I thought those should be normal wear and tear per GM financial guidelines.

I plan to take pictures and video at the return dealership location.

Posting for others who may face similar charges.

Those of you who already returned the lease, let us know what was your experience at the end of the lease. Does the dealer taking the return inspect it or someone else does it? Should I contest the openlane inspection report now???

International transit at BOM T2

My experience on 1-August 2026; Long but may help others.

I went to India to visit family and friends. After that I went to Kenya and Tanzania with friends from Mumbai on a separate air ticket. At Arusha Tanzania on the 31st July I requested the Kenya Airways check-in staff (swissport employees) to please check my bags in to be DFW my final destination by presenting my united airlines ticket from Mumbai to DFW (Air India flight to LHR followed by United airlines to DFW via EWR). They obliged and I received baggage receipts for my 2 check-in bags along with boarding passes for AI and UA flights.

Our KQ flight to BOM from Nairobi was delayed due to some VIP religious people and had only 1 hour and 40 minutes at BOM to transfer. I rushed out of aircraft by requesting flight attendant and few folks around me. There was an airport employee at gate where Kenya Airways parked. She was already aware of my transfer and my check in bags. She assured me that ramp has been notified to transfer my bags to Air India flight directly and escorted me to transfer desk. She told me to verify bags got transferred to Air India before boarding.

At Air India gate, the agent said they have no information on bags and told me to wait. In the meantime, my local friends who had come with me to Kenya and Tanzania called and said my bags were on baggage claim belt. I told AI agent about it and after another 20-30 minutes they got pictures of my bags which I confirmed. They said due to the mistake of baggage handler, my bags need India customs permission and may not accompany me. They will rush the bags to DFW. I didn't see bags on my united airlines app and at LHR an agent added my tags to the reservation. I didn't see my bags at EWR or DFW. I made a claim at United airlines DFW on 1st August. Today is 3rd August and my bags are still in transit. I may get them tomorrow. Since DFW is my home, no compensation. I probably could have collected my bags at BOM and rechecked in to Air India and not experienced this delay, but it would have been risky.

Hope this helps improve the baggage transfer between international flights at BOM and make others be aware.

Leased RS tires at 4/32 in 16 months and 13000 miles! Should I get cheap tires for now till Dec???

Decided to measure the tire tread depth yesterday and discovered all 4 tires are nearly at 4/32 already. These self sealing tires are expensive. Should I get a less expensive set now and swap to OEM at lease return?

I didn't expect these continental cross contacts to wear out so fast. We accelerate gently and keep tire pressure at 42psi.

Our EQEV has not received any OTA updates since the visit to the dealer to get the streaming update.

Any solutions?

TIA

Our multinational employer uses alight solutions for benefits and 401k. I had quicken connect and download from alight for many years. It stopped working few weeks ago. Removing online setup worked and could not reestablish it. I can login to alight solutions website and app but same credentials don't work to setup quicken online connection. Spoke to alight and they didn't know what to do and told me to contact quicken.

I spent more than an hour with quicken support doing screenshare which I don't like but it didn't help. Even adding a new account at alight solutions doesn't work.

Hope someone at quicken or alight can get this fixed
