Budget under 40k
Did a solo trip to Tilicho Lake, Nepal and thought I would share my itinerary and what I actually spent. I relied on Reddit while planning, so hopefully this helps someone else.

Day 1
Flew into Kathmandu and spent the night there.

Day 2
Kathmandu (1,400 m) → Besisahar (760 m) Picked up my ACAP permit and caught a microbus to Besisahar.
• Permit: NPR 1,000 - Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP): NPR 1,000 (Indian/SAARC)
• Microbus: NPR 1,000
• Stay: NPR 500
• Food: NPR 2,000

Day 3
Besisahar (760 m) → Pisang (3,300 m) Took a shared jeep. The road is rough, travel time is around 6-8 hours. From lower Pisang i trekked to upper Pisang (15 -20mins)
• Jeep: NPR 3,500
• Food + Stay: NPR 2,000

Day 4
Upper Pisang (3,300 m) → Manang (3,540 m) 17 km | Around 8-9 hours
Definitely recommend taking the upper route through Ghyaru (3,670 m) and Ngawal (3,660 m). The climb is tougher, but the mountain views are incredible and it's much better for acclimatization too.
• Stay: NPR 2,000
• Food: NPR 2,100

Day 5
Manang (3,540 m) → Shree Kharka (4,070 m) 8 km | Around 5 hours
A shorter day before heading towards Tilicho.
• Stay: NPR 1,000
• Food: NPR 1,500

Day 6
Shree Kharka (4,070 m) → Tilicho Base Camp (4,150 m) → Tilicho Lake (4,919 m) → Back to Base Camp 16 to 17 km | 10 to 12 hours
Started before sunrise. The climb above base camp is steep and loose in places, but seeing Tilicho Lake surrounded by snow-covered peaks made every step worth it. Easily one of the most beautiful places I have been.
• Stay: NPR 1,000
• Food: NPR 1,500

Day 7
Tilicho Base Camp (4,150 m) → Khangsar (3,760 m)
Descended to Khangsar instead of staying in Manang. Nice, quiet village and a comfortable place to recover after the long day to Tilicho.
• Stay: NPR 1,000
• Food: NPR 1,200

Day 8
Khangsar (3,760 m) → Besisahar (760 m)
Caught a shared jeep all the way back.
• Jeep: NPR 3,500
• Stay: NPR 500
• Food: NPR 2,000

Day 9
Besisahar (760 m) → Kathmandu (1,400 m)
Microbus back to Kathmandu.
• Microbus: NPR 1,000
Total Cost
• Permit: NPR 1,000
• Transport: NPR 9,000
• Accommodation: NPR 8,000
• Food: NPR 12,300
Grand Total: ~NPR 30,300 (18,786 INR)(excluding flights, insurance and gear).

A few things I would do recommend:
• Take the Upper Pisang route.
• Start for Tilicho before sunrise.
• Carry enough cash after Besisahar.
• Don't underestimate the altitude, even if you're fit.
If anyone is planning the trek and has questions about the route, transport, weather, gear, or doing it solo, feel free to ask. Happy to help!
