Rest in peace sweetheart

My coworker found this poor baby while taking out the trash at our work, we work fast food. He was lying on his back and seemed to be gasping for air. I picked him up and got him out of the road, brought him to the shade in the grass, put some water in a tray there for him, and just sat with him for a few minutes. He couldn’t move and was just lying there😭I know nothing about rodents but it was honestly heartbreaking. I could only stay for a bit and had to get back to work.

I went to check on him at the end of my shift and he had sadly passed away. I sat in my car and cried. I’m assuming he ate poison that I was unaware was outside of our restaurant until today.

I’m sorry if this sounds ignorant, but is there not a better way? I understand rats and mice can’t be in restaurants, but this just seems sick and inhumane. The poor baby was just outside living his life, ate poison, and then suffered a painful death. Maybe I’m too sensitive but this genuinely ruined my day, I don’t even wanna go to work tomorrow. Rest in peace honey.

I passed today!

After putting off taking my test since I was 16, I finally did it today at 21! I scheduled and then canceled my test dozens of times due to fear and anxiety. I bought my first car the summer of 2025 and could no longer justify paying for car insurance AND Ubers to get to work, so I finally forced myself to do it.

I’m so happy. My boyfriend and I are long distance and now I can drive to see him too, he doesn’t have to be the only one doing the driving anymore.

To any other anxious drivers, you got this!! Honestly, just go for it. If you fail, you fail. You can always take it again. Honestly I think I got really lucky because my instructor who I took the test with was the sweetest. Good luck everyone!

21F, apologies in advance for how gross. My period only ended 5 days ago so I’m not sure if this is ovulation related? Any help appreciated😭
