Square app keeps switching spin measurement back to calculated

Title

I am using the included balls and stickers on the club shaft. When I open the driving range, the duration of the session will run as measurement but I notice that after I close the app and reopen it, it keeps defaulting back to calculated. Any idea why?

Square Golf Home first impressions

After doing way too much research, I ended up pulling the trigger on the Square Golf Home Edition instead of the SkyTrak ST-Max. (I went home because I am impatient and didn't want to wait on the Omni)

A few days in, setup has been super easy and overall I’m happy with the purchase so far. Works really well for my setup and ease of use.

Biggest positives:

* Very simple setup
* No real shot delay in the native Square app
* Works well for my use case: garage net, tight space, no projector, want the flexibility to quickly get some shots in ad-hoc without complex setup, booting up a PC etc.
* Carry numbers seem usable so far
* Official Square balls + measured spin setting is nice... have not messed with the stickers yet

A couple early quirks:

* I cannot get the alignment stick to read no matter what I do. YouTube videos seems to suggest I am not alone.
* Total distance/rollout seems very close to carry... almost identical at times... so I’m mostly focusing on carry
* I’m still trying to validate ball flight accuracy since I slice a lot on course, but indoors I’m seeing a lot of straight/draw patterns. Could be the unit, could be indoor swing syndrome but I am skeptical that I am hitting the ball this straight....

One other note... I think I may prefer Awesome Golf over the native Square app for day-to-day practice, mainly because of the replay feature.

I love that the Square app has basically no delay and takes 60seconds to setup, but since I’m not using a projector, I often miss the shot path unless I immediately look over at phone/laptop and cut my finish short, which I don’t want to do. With Awesome Golf, being able to replay the ball flight is a huge quality-of-life improvement.

Still early, but for a no-PC, garage-friendly setup, Square feels like a pretty strong value so far.
