Hello! I’m trying to figure out why Photoshop’s AI generate image was disabled on an exam computer, even though the same workflow works perfectly on my home PC.

Here’s exactly what I did:
Opened Photoshop
File → New
Chose A4 from the Print category
The document opened with a normal “Background” layer (not an Artboard as far as I could tell)
Made sure the document was RGB color mode
Unlocked the Background layer and converted it to a normal layer
Used the Rectangular Marquee Tool to select the entire canvas
Went to Edit → Generate Image

The “Generate Image” option was greyed out and unavailable. I also tried creating a frame and other selections, but the option remained greyed out.

What’s confusing is that if I repeat the exact same steps on my home computer, Generate Image works normally.

My professor said there was “one more thing” I should know that can cause Generate Image to be disabled, but didn’t explain what it was. Any ideas?

Hi everyone,

I had my tonsils removed 4 and a half weeks ago, and my recovery has gone really well so far. After the white scabs disappeared, I still had two stitches left that needed to fall out, and there was a small amount of white coating around them.

Now the stitches have fallen out, but it seems to me that the white coating has spread and become larger. It feels like something is stuck in that part of my throat.

Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced something similar?
