The real reason archeology is held back.
Most of the megalithic structures and cities are monuments with a focus on human sacrifice. This knowledge overtime was destroyed by various groups, and erased from history. Why? Because the worshipping of entities works, and is a devious destructive enterprise that leads to immeasurable human suffering for many so that a few can reap benefits.

Blackbeard devil fruit
Could blackbeards devil fruit have something to do with the idea of the biblical entity known as Legion? Which is a collective entity of evil spirits?

Is Zaza the sea god that stormed? Or is that a different god? If so could it have been out of grief of losing someone they cared about?
Which could explain the fear of Zaza. Maybe after man killed the Sun (Nika) Zaza grieved so intensely it cause a great flood.
