Just getting into the band and I feel like I joined a secret club

I’ve been listening to primarily heavy dnb/jungle the last few years but my roots are in metal and heavier music. I’ve always known about the Melvins but overlooked them due to a variety of irrelevant reasons

The electronic music scene has become really saturated with artists making tracks for Tik Tok so lately I’ve been craving something well off the beaten path. A few weeks ago I was feeling pretty down and I threw on Bullhead, lit up a few bowls and listened through. It clicked for me right away and I bought the vinyl immediately (side note: been getting back into collecting physical media so discovering the band is a blessing and a curse for that). I dont need to get into it because we all know, but when they get into a groove on that album, it really just makes sense and there’s no other way to explain it. I was hooked from there on.

Now I feel like I want to consume everything I can about the band. Partially my ADHD but it’s mostly because they are so good. The sound is just so purely unique in its rawness and heaviness. I’m really happy to have discovered the band and there’s so much more to listen to.

Reading through this subreddit and seeing all of the releases they have out there makes this seem like a cool community. True music for the outsider within us all

I currently have Houdini, the 1-12 singles set, and Alive at the Fucker Club on CD and the Bullhead vinyl. I’m looking to get Eggnog, Lysol, and Ozma/GPT next because I really like this phase of the Melvins. I still have yet to explore Stoner Witch and onwards so I’m excited to consume all of this music. I’ve read that Working With God has Bullhead vibes so I want to check that one out especially. Any recommendations of 2010s and up Melvins? Seems like that era forward is a real mixed bag

3 disposable cameras that I want to get developed - best , quickest options?

Took some disposable cameras on a trip recently for the nostalgia factor but it’s been so long since I’ve used them (well over a decade) I didn’t realize that CVS or Walgreens dont do one hour photo anymore, and I dont even think they develop them in house either. Are there any places in Monmouth County that do one hour photo/same day pickup? Or any recommendations of a reliable place to drop them off and get them back in a decent turnaround ? I have done some googling but I am pretty lost when it comes to this and I want to go somewhere trustworthy

Best Buy preorder questions

I’ve been trying to snag a pre-order of the Switch Mouseburg edition for a few days now. I happened to check Best Buy this morning and saw “Pre-order now” so I ordered it real quick and secured a copy. I went to check the website a few hours later to see it says Coming Soon again. I feel like I got really lucky!

My questions , not sure if anyone here can help -

  1. How does Best Buy do their pre orders ? Do they ship on release day or ship for release day?
  2. Are they shipping from a Best Buy store, or a warehouse? Wondering how long it’ll take to get here.
  3. Are the Mouseburg edition pre-orders only available for delivery? I didn’t see a store pickup option

Will the Switch 2 Mouseburg edition be available in stores or was it online pre-order only?

Just curious about this. It looks like a great collectors edition to grab and I regret not placing a pre order. Was wondering if places like Target or Best Buy will have any of these available for purchase in store when it comes out.

Dentists in the area good at dealing with anxiety

I have horrible anxiety when it comes to the dentist due to bad experiences in the past. I haven’t been in a few years and I broke a tooth that I need fixed - it isn’t hurting me so it’s not major but I know there will be other issues that I’ll need to take care of, so I really want to go to a good dentist. I dont currently have one and I’m looking for recommendations of good dental offices that are good at dealing with people who are super anxious about going. The phobia is what prevents me from going because when I’m there at the office and I know I’m under the care of a good dentist I feel much better. The issue is that I dont have a dentist currently so I dont have that trust that is motivating me to go. I have OCD so the rumination is driving me nuts. If I find a good trustworthy dentist I can get past this fear.

I don’t know where to start - I don’t want to go off of just google reviews, I figure maybe I can see what people here say. I dont mind traveling a little to Ocean County if necessary. I have Delta so not the best insurance.

I need someone who will utilize laughing gas generously because I’ve had dentists not give me enough before and it sucks. Anxiety is the main thing here so an office that is specifically prepped to deal with it is the goal… thanks in advance

Sun 1.5g disposable hardware question

I grabbed one of the Sun AIO 1.5g live resin disposables. It’s really nice but I have a question about the hardware. There’s a switch on the bottom that has a left, center and right position. It looks like there are two chambers in the vape itself but it’s only one strain. So there wouldn’t really be a reason to switch from one to the other chamber, but maybe it’s just a built in feature of the hardware?

I am thinking it’s either to switch between the chambers, or I was thinking it was for air flow. I haven’t really been able to figure out the difference and I have no instructions included.

Questions about rain and crowds this upcoming weekend

I am visiting Hershey this upcoming weekend from Sat-Tues. I can choose either go to the park on Sunday or Monday. Sunday looks like it’ll be hot and mostly sunny, Monday looks like it has the potential to rain, just showers though.

I would prefer to be there when it doesn’t rain and it’s more of a sunny day. I know the weather changes so I’ll keep my eye on it, but I just had some questions -

  1. Is it peak season enough yet where the crowds are going to be large on a Sunday?
  2. If it does rain, do many of the rides get shut down? I know the park stays open but curious about ride closures and how rain is handled.
  3. Not too concerned with getting on some of the larger coasters but there are a few coasters and bigger rides I want to get on- is Fast Track only useful if you want the bigger rides ?
  4. Would a Monday be better than Sunday overall regardless of the weather, considering crowds and lines?
