I’m kind of ashamed that it’s taken me this long to finally do what I said I was gonna do: follow Claire’s croissant video

I know it’s a laborious recipe and that croissants are fussy. I don’t expect perfection, but with how much work is involved… I’d like to prepare as best as I can for a happy outcome

I’ll be making them this weekend, would love any and all advice, no matter how big or small the tips are

I really want to become someone who cooks on the regular and can whip up something good without much effort. I want to be a cooking person and have an ingredient kitchen. Currently, on a regular day, my cooking is just applying heat with minimal seasoning. It's sustenance

I'm fine in the kitchen, my issue right now is finding a balance between: recipes for what I want, ingredients I can find, practicality of cooking for one, keeping it healthy, time and cost. These problems are so original aren't they?

I absolutely love chinese and vietnamese food and I'll use them as an example. Some of the ingredients can be very difficult to find and means I have to go out of the way, and that usually carries some price tag as well, they can also have a short shelf life. Something like pho (which I'd eat everyday if I could) is very laborious and a multi-process day, thought it's pretty healthy besides the sodium. I'd die to have dry noodles all the time, but they're pretty heavy on oil and noodles, not the best for health

Some other kinds of foods I like: italian (especially sandwhiches), greek, thai, american is pretty safe too

Even beyond that though, finding recipes is an experience. Especially on IG or YT, recipes are big hits or misses, I could always get a cookbook, but I'd want to make a lot of use out of it

I'd love to hear any advice, especially on maybe a few recipes that share ingredients. This post was hard to make, I'm thinking out loud but hopefully trying to put it in a way that helps you to help me

I’ve been watching some videos on drizzlewood lately and I’ve been curious to join in on the meta, but I haven’t seen any activity in LFG for the last few days

Maybe I’m just missing, do people still run it?

I’m a WvW rat. If the game was only WvW I’d still play it

Over time I’ve gotten some friends into the game and I just do such a bad job, partially because I don’t know what’s really cool to show off to people

I usually suggest fractals or world bosses, I think they’re cool at first but it’s pretty obvious my friends start falling off after that

Of course I’d love for them to experience WvW, but gearing is a barrier, let alone rally times, positioning, etc

Any ideas? Feel free to suggest any expansion, it’s usually a mix

Idk what's going on, likely something to do with fashion templates, but I cannot transmute of my equipment right now

I swapped my equipment for PvP and now when I go to put on a skin, I'm unable to apply the skin and it shows a "cannot save fashion template"

Unfortunately I got a scratch on my rental, most of it wiped away, but some paint came off and I’m just not sure of the process here

It’s minimal at least. Unless they actually inspect the car maybe we can get away with it. But it is like a loonie size

I’m the second driver on the car, I’m not sure if that changes anything. We have 3 more days with the car. I did pay with my Scotia Momentum

Could use (and welcome) any advice to avoid any big charges. It’s not any of the big chains, it’s a local chain

Really just wondering what other people think

With my usual group, if someone hasn’t had a win, I’ll usually direct my interaction and damage elsewhere. I still go for the win even if it’s a dirty play, but I do feel bad sometimes. Of course this goes the other way, sometimes I’m fighting for my life the entire night. In the end, commander to me is for fun and socializing, so I feel bad when someone is not having as much fun (not crashing out or anything)

Only other time I really pull back is with new players. I’m always struggling tho, I see good plays but I won’t take them. Sometimes in those long slogs (~2 hour games) that’s when I’ll just play to end

Disclaimer: I always make an effort to ensure the deck fits the power level (or under if new players). No “technically b2” stuff

Say Scarlet Witch is base power 2 and I’d like to cast [[Call Forth the Tempest]] (card doesn’t matter, just an example)

Regular cost is 5 + 3R, with the reducer I only pay 3 + 3R

Does Thor deal 8 damage or 6 (because of the reduced cost)?

Just wondering if this is legal

I have [[Fire Lord Zuko]] and [[Obsessive Pursuit]] out with 3 clue tokens out. I go to attack, I choose to layer the attack triggers such that Zuko's firebending triggers first (say firebending 6), and then obsessive pursuit

Could I respond to obsessive pursuit trigger by popping the 3 clues with the 6 firebending mana so that I could trigger the second half of obsessive pursuit?

I'm just thrown off because they're both attack triggers and I'm trying sneak something in there
