Made a belt

Turned an old bike tyer into a belt, was more difficult than I thought it was gonna be to make, my leather rivets weren't strong enough so I used some bolts instead. It looks kinda shit but im still happy with it 😂

How do we feel about this one?

Looking for more reading material to keep me busy. I like what this guy shares on Instagram and he seems to be pretty chill and inclusive. Has anyone else read this one?

syncretism in Hellenism and heathenry?

Greetings! I am a norse pagan heathen and have identified as such for the last 5-6 years now. While ive been very content in my faith during this time, i have recently felt the presence of a goddess (Lady Persephone) that I use to worship prior to my dedication to the norse path.

I have been contemplating bringing her back into my hearth cult and adopting some syncretic practices in doing so. But as is commonly said in the norse path, I imagine the same is true for Hellenism, that being that its a faith with homework. So im after some pointing in the right direction and advice.

Id like to add that I try to stay mostly in the reconstructionist scope, practicing as close to the way things were practiced originally. I also still primarily want to follow the norse way of things. Persephone would likely be the only non-norse deity to be part of my hearth cult/praxis.

I guess my question here is, is there a smooth way to do this? What are good resources for learning more about Hellenism? Is there a lot of reading for me to do?😅 do I need to know everything there is to know about Hellenism to do this successfully and respectfully?

Any advice is beyond appreciated 🙏

My new kit! Any advice on good YouTube videos to watch for beginners just starting out?

Just bought myself the Alesis nitro max kit, my first drum set. Have been saving up for it for ages and finally got it! Ive never played drums before and never really got very far with other instruments but the drums were calling me something fierce! If anyone has any good YouTubers to follow or video tutorials on how to get started that would be awesome 👌

Beginner choosing which Edrum set to go for

Basically as the title says, im a beginner looking to get into drums, ive decided to go for Edrums as I live in a suburb and have flatmates i dont want to annoy.

Ive been looking at two kits, they seem quite similar but it would be great if someone more experienced could point me in the right direction.

The first set is the Artist EDK924M 9 piece set. At 800nzd its at a comfortable price in my budget and from the looks of it works well for a beginner. It comes with a throne and headphones included in the price which saves me having to buy them separately.

The other set which I was able to see in person at my local music shop this week is the Alesis nitro max. This kit is 8 pieces but has a few extra pros like a chokeable crash. Its 1000nzd so a bit higher cost and probably the maximum im able to spend currently.

Both sets are mesh heads which is what im wanting to go for.

Basically im leaning towards the Alesis but I want to hear it from someone who knows Edrums and can tell me why its the better option. Ive never played drums in my life so I dont want to spend too much just yet, I will very likely plan on getting a better kit later on once im better and if I find that I am really enjoying playing.

Any advice is very helpful!

Hey guys! Im trying to find some lab grown cut stones. No idea where I should look though, im only a hobbyist and I dont want to spend a lot on cut stones if im just playing around with them.

Im most interested in CZ or something that will hold up being cast in place. Even better if there is options for different cuts and colours rather than your standard round cut white stone.

Hey guys, ive been struggling with crazy bloating. It happens every time I eat or drink, I could drink water and still get bloated. My stomach ends up looking huge and it gives me major body image issues. Is there anything I can incorporate into my diet or maybe a supplement or something that can help with this? Im already trying to limit trigger foods and salt and sugar, but i still have trouble keeping my bloat down.
