Experiences with Ford's wireless AA?

I recently got a Ford vehicle that has wireless AA built in. On my old car I used a Motorola dongle and in 100k miles I blew 4. I like using the built in system but I'm worried the system will fail and either be expensive to repair or if the Wi-Fi goes it takes out other systems that affect the car forcing replacement. Anyone know about this or ever had any issues?

Differences between EV auto and EV now?

Are there any differences between the two except that EV now just has a higher power band and allows you to accelerate more on battery? Auto EV just has the threshold lower and will turn on the engine to help accelerate?

Do milage estimates work on electric only?

I haven't used any gas this week and I last "filled up" last week, and my milage really isn't increasing. I'm still at 3/4 of a tank and my estimate is less then 380mi. I have seen people talk about getting 500+ on a tank and a single charge. So I dunno maybe once I use the engine it will get better estimates? My estimated on a charge is currently at 47.

Do you think a screen protector is necessary for the touch screen?

I mean it's not like we can scratch or damage the screen like a phone but I'm wondering if you should use a screen protector? Can you damage the screen overtime by the natural oils on your fingers?

How reliable is the heads up system?

Maybe it is me but I am extremely nervous about the head up display popping up and closing 5x a day. I like using it and never had it before but I am concerned about the reliability of the system. What is your experience? Should I disable until road trips? For me 5x a day 7x days a week is accurate as I do alot of driving. My last car had 135k in 5 years

Sync 4 Wireless AA keeps disconnecting

Ive tried everything(I know). Wifi scanning disabled, readded phone. Any ideas? What happens is it disconnects and then it throws an error saying the Wi-Fi connection with your phone has failed, please reconnect via USB cable. I check the Wi-Fi connection in my phone and it won't reconnect until I soft reboot sync. Sometimes it takes a few reboots.

Has anyone run into this before? Alot of Googling says battery management but you can't adjust battery management on newer Android's with AA. Setting doesn't exist.

What's your sync version?

The car doesn't show any updates under history and when I manually try to check it says no updates available. Maybe this will help solve my AA wireless disconnecting?

Ford extended warranties don't cover high voltage battery?

Wtf? Reading the brochure from flood ford it states hybrid batteries are not covered. I feel like this is saying they intend for them to fail..

Can't believe they are discontinued!!

I had a 21 hybrid with 120k and wanted to trade in so I could go another 100k with no issues (I mean I could of gotten much more out of the 21 but it was 8k off for a 26 phev and I got 8k for the trade and I know I was going to need a new battery in 2 years max, it was getting noticable.. charging and charging and charging and still not charged. Wouldn't regenerative charge half the times either.

I guess the 21 was the second year but going from the 21 to 26 is a huge difference. It's so much quieter, smoother, and built better I think. It's just unbelievable. I can barely hear the engine running. The 21 was pretty loud. Just everything. Windows are so much smoother, the led lights light up the road so much better then then 21 and the interior lighting is so much brighter. I can't believe they discontinued them. I guess if they share the same platform with the broncos they can move them over and charge another 10k for them. That's why I made the purchase now because id rather pay 35k then 3 years from now and pay 45k for a bronco hybrid.

They want to move them so if you are interested have fun. The only thing I'm worried about is parts in 5 years but who knows.

Is the 12v getting charged if you are wall charging in accessory mode?

I'd like to play around with all the settings tonight and learn about the car but I noticed you can't start it while charging, so I'm wondering if the 12v is getting charged if you use accessory mode? I don't want to kill the battery and need a jump start .. 😁

What kinda of extension cord can I use with the factory wall charger(USA)?

Do I need to know anything else about wall charging 👍? When I'm shopping for extension cords what am I looking for to make sure it's safe? The factory charger won't be long enough to reach the outlet. I don't plan getting a level 2.

12v battery issues still exist on the 2026s?

I was looking at a 2026 today at the dealer and we go to start it and it was completely dead. I know they have a parasite issue and it's somewhat normal for sitting for a while but I can't believe the issue still exists. It had no lights at all, no dash nothing. Is this normal? Since the 12 v only powers up the electronics and not the engine it's hard to believe it didn't have enough juice to turn on even the dash lights..

When the sticker says 53mpg, that is after the battery is completely depleted and you are using hybrid mode right? Does the car have anything like EV now, later modes etc?
