I had chalazion surgery in march and had it re-done in May again as it was unsuccessful. After the 2nd surgery my eye is still inflamed and swollen.
Is my only option here to get the cortizone/steroid shots? Do they actually help?
The ophthalmologist also prescribed me doxycycline, so hopefully that helps.
After every shave I have a reaction where my face goes puffy and pale. It typically subsides 3-4 days after and my face begins to look normal and slim.
It’s now at the point where I am considering growing out my facial hair to avoid shaving for this exact reason, which I would prefer not to do.
Does anyone else experience this and have a solution?

Earlier this year I had a chalazion removed. However, they failed to remove it completely and it was then done again a few months later. I am now approximately 5 weeks post the second surgery and my eye looks like this. Is this just a very slow recovery or is the chalazion still there?
