Jupiter in WD1863 Case
Just finished up a Jupiter replica build using a WD1863 case. Love the BluShark NATO in Pebble color, matches up nicely.

Still really new to building watches, still just my third full build (Moonswitches don’t count…).
Swapped the date wheel and the rotor, went with a no logo dial, mainly because I really wanted the grey/blue combo and couldn’t find one with the S logo.
I’m unsure about the No Logo dial, feels weird to me.
Trying to source dial and hands to build an homage to the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic, but I’m having trouble finding the dial and hands. Does anyone know a source for dial and hands like this?
I've done a few metal case mods using replicas and have seen on a couple of them where the chrono hand will move off 12 o'clock after some time, after having been set to 12 o'clock. I'm trying to clean up my build process and figure out why this is happening, but so far, no luck.
Could this be due to junk batteries in them? Do vk63 and wd1863 cases need to have the pushers trimmed, maybe they're inadvertently adjusting them? Maybe just junk replicas that are prone to failure (would be a 30% failure rate for me in my small sample size...)
I'm not seeing this on all the watches I've worked with, but it's just weird and I'd like to figure it out. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
I’ve been lurking here for a bit and also tinkering with Moonswatch replica metal case swaps, but was nervous about building something complete. Took the plunge, a lot of parts from Nakomi with a sprinkle of AliX and DS. Really happy with how it turned out for my first build - I know where mistakes were made and will only learn and get better hopefully.
I wish I had paid attention to the lume color on the bezel, it’s blue while the rest of the watch is green. Ooops!
I love the Moonswatch dials, not a fan of the plastic case. So I started building metal cases replicas, enjoying the build and yes, I know they’re fake. I don’t mind, fun to build and wear.
