guys mag med school ako sa DMSF this july however this will be the 1st time nga layo gyud ko sa akong family (i'm from visayas btw). do you have tips/advice sa akin sa Davao? also mga cautions? mga dos and donts?

context: my younger bro applied to one of the biggest private med schools here in ph (he's a chem eng grad, with latin honors, and 97 nmat). he doesn't know how to feel rn daw. he's grateful the committee sees his effort and potential as a student, but at the same time, he's anxious cause the committee placed high expectations on him. now, this school is plane tix away and apparently my bro's gonna be living alone his entire med school life. as his older sib, i wanna make sure he's monitored emotionally and mentally.

any tips/advice u can give me rn? i wanna be of help. yes i know he got this and he has the brains. but kapatid is kapatid tho and i wanna make sure he feels we're always here for him no matter what.

and pls stop with the comments na "yung mga laude nung undergrad and matataas ang nmat di naman pumapasa ng ple."

we actually don't know their baggage. we don't know what they've been through to constantly carry the pedestal expectations around them. let's be kind.

mga sibs ko palang, against na. parents ko pa kaya? for context, youngest son ako. dati pa, dream school ko na talaga ang up however i was left with no choice but to enroll in a private school cause my fam won't let me take the upcat (ayaw daw nila maging terrorist ako or maging active sa protests/rallies against the govt). rn, i'm pursuing med and up is still on top of my mind but i just don't know how to convince them. need your help! 🙏
