Memory box – A decade ago..

Scrolling through the phone and found these from almost a decade ago ..

Surely, nostalgia about the days long before the job days and when Alwar was mostly enough.

Confused between a few options

Long story short.

Budget: INR 18K (upper cap).

Marshall Emberton II seems like a perfect fit. Used the speaker for over 3 years, so I trust the build and quality.

However, for a change I am thinking of trying something new.

Checked out Bose Soundlink Flex but the price point didn't justify compared to Marshall.

Considering Sony as an alternative, as I've used sony speakers and earphones earlier and was never disappointed.

Marshall seems to have no competition with price and features.

What do you all think?

Corporate Majdoors Assemble.

Hey .. the weather is great, the most exhausting quarter is over.. and if you're working from home.

We can catch up to work, sip coffee, and watch the weather unfold.

I'm possibly heading to a cafe around.. if it makes sense to you, DM.

Chhole Bhatoore or Chhole Kulche

Cooking is therapy – can't tell me otherwise.

Damn.. I don't know where exactly to start from?

It's been almost one and a half or even a few weeks over it that I have been moving places.

It was supposed to be a simple decision, a simple move from Gurgaon to Bangalore and yet it changed everything, certainly it was definitely the end of an era.

This one and a half years, I packed-moved-unpacked over 6 times.. the whole stuff. Gurgaon to Bangalore, Bangalore to Alwar, Alwar to Gurgaon and back to Alwar. Throughout the time, there was always a bag or a box or a trolley that couldn't be unpacked. Before, I could have settled down, I was on the move, although I've enjoyed movement all my life but it was different, a spiral.. somewhere in between I stopped making sense to the concept of home.

Last month, I decided to move back to Alwar. All my friends in Alwar and Gurgaon were not confident, they have known me advocating Gurgaon for what not. But somewhere I knew it's the time, if nowhere then back to home. Ironically, Alwar stopped making sense to me as home years ago.

Last Sunday, I moved my stuff back here and it's just lying in the room, half packed and unpacked. Books, electronics, flags and posters, shoes, clothes.. mostly packed and I am not sure when and how I'll unpack and setup the room as I planned.

This month is critical at work, everything's in turmoil and thankfully that's keeping me insanely occupied to look at any of this.

My parents had to be out of town and last night I was about to order online. I walked into the kitchen to check the fridge and in that moment, I noticed the Misono knife and the chopping board lying overlooked in a corner drawer (which my mom never uses and she believes it's just fancy shit I spent money on). The next moment I was fine chopping onions and mixing besan, soaking rice.. the moment.. it just moved something, something I missed, the sense of freedom, the cost of being a self sufficient individual.. the journey I had so far. And by the time, everything was ready, it just felt-this was something I really missed.

Yes, it tasted finger licking delicious.

Duhhh.. I wrote too much.

WFH friendly places?

Hey.. I finally moved back to Alwar and usually I am working from home. But, for a change sometimes I feel like going out somewhere and work.

I tried a few places but nothing seems appropriate,

  1. Cove - not suitable for calls (on terrace, cz of traffic)

  2. Fankar - not suitable for calls

  3. Hustle house - not suitable for calls

  4. NBC - parking issue

  5. Humbae - insufficient seating space

Can anyone recommend something? Personally I'd prefer Cove as it is manageable even on the terrace but would love to have more options.
