Is it unrealistic to jump from 1300 to the 1500s?
International SAT test taker here. I've just finished 11th grade and I'm about to begin 12th grade (my final year of high school) in late August.
My first SAT attempt was the June SAT. I scored 1300 (720 Math, 580 R&W).
I am retaking the SAT in August and aiming for a score in 1500s. I want at least a 790 in Math and I'm aiming to score at least low 700s in R&W. Is this an unrealistic target?
As an International student who is aiming to apply to colleges in the United States for either Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, I am in desperate need for a high SAT score... either a score in the 1500s or 1450+ would do the job (but more preferably 1500s, as the majors I'm applying for are highly competitve). The August SAT will probably be my final chance to attempt the SAT... I don't think I will be able to acommodate another attempt due to other exams, hectic study schedules for my subjects, managing ECAs + essays and college application deadlines. So the pressure is on to do well in August.
I would just like to know if it's realistic to aim for a jump by >=200 points in a span of approximately 2 months. Is it doable guys? Thanks for taking the time to read my post!
