We have a Network card machine, which i would like to consider replacing. The machine is 2 years old and we have maybe 10 transactions per week, at times lower.

The card machine due to the hardware is quite slow, and cumbersome. We recently had the battery replaced due to it not holding charge.

I have asked Network for an upgrade, but they want to charge aed500.

I happy to switch over, but also dont want to move to payment gateway that delays payments, looses payments etc, Network have been 99% good on that part.

So my wife and my late father own a property. The property is up for renewal, and the existing tenant is negotiated a new contract.

Issue is that the contract needs to be signed by both joint holders, and one of them being my late father makes this impossible.

We have a will in probate, where my mother is the sole inherited of the assets, including this property, and she will be the new 50% owner.

The probate is taking a very long time, due various software issues with uae court authority.

What can be done. I have signed contracts of solely my wife, and another set with both my wife and mother, as they are the future owners of the property as per will issued by my late father.

Hi folks, we import physical goods from China, through our freight forwarder agent, most of the times we are bringing on a DDP basis, so our 5% import duty is paid to him, who then pays the chinese shipping company, whose office in UAE then pays the import duty on our behalf.

The issue is that we dont have any documentation to show on our books, that this 5% has been paid.

What are others doing in this scenario, i assume that there is many out here importing on DDP basis from China or elsewhere in the world, or did in the past.

So due to the current situation, many nice toys available on the used market. And I am getting tempted to get a used gt86. I used to have a e36 m3, and I must admit the roads in the cities of UAE, are not exactly exciting. One family vacation in Spain I rented a manual vw golf tdi, the engine that landed VW in trouble, but this thing on Spanish country roads from Northern Spain to Middle of Spain got me up in the early hours to go have drive and put a smile on my face, the single lane roads on the hills are fantastic.

Yes there is the car meets, but after the 4th one, they are mundane and like watching the same YouTube ad before the main content.

Maybe a high horsepower muscle car would be great for pulls, but I love the sideways G's of going around corners. I used wake up at 4am and drive the e36 between 2 flyover exits on the 311 to have that feeling of the tyres on their edge of traction.

Hence I prefer 4x4s, since the dunes here give that driving thrill similar too country roads with a car built to transport 5 people at lowest fuel consumption.

Am I wrong, or am I missing something about the sports car ownership here.

Dear Fellow business owner, from my own experience since 2020 for spending on ads either on meta: FB and/or Insta and google, this is the following I would like to share.

In UAE your selection of where the product can be bought, i.e. where is your buyer be very careful, as meta will told me that the FB and insta are the place to be, but the reality is that facebook is a very low income level of the customer base, if I were selling toothpaste, definetly facebook would be the place to be, and that has to be toothpaste with offers. Instagram ads are ok at certain times, I believe that meta shows your ads to 10 wrong people, outside of your carefully AI driven targetting lies in order for them to generate the revenue, and then to perhaps 2 of the right people, which one of those turns too a sale, so do the math of not ROI, but POI, I do agree that certain products work better on instagram, for example F&B or beauty related as instagram is a massive fairy tale.

Influencer marketing, this has been our biggest failure, 10 out of 10 times the content creator will ask for free product, or even request money, and then you ask for their instagram insights screenshots, never do they share where the audience is, in my current business I can not fullfill orders to the content creators followers that are outside the GCC, or maybe they are content creator that has many followers who are pregnant women in UAE! Yes we then tried free product to content creator with set pieces of content per month, and they get a discount code, they openly took the free product and generated the most pathetic content, that actually devalued the product, this from a micro incluencer to someone who has over 100K followers.

We also got agencies that can create content for us, who had no idea of the product, industry and their sales pitch was tell us that we need to do a better job, whilst we had some customers walk and tell us they love our content. Yes they taught us some tricks of the trade, and guess what the end customer likes to see the business owner or sales team behind the business, this starts the trust process from the content, as they walk into the business they already see a familiar face, and want to confirm what was said on the video, or discuss a discount ofcourse! AI generated content is now very obvious to spot, and looks childish, cold, and lacks detailed information on the product, it lacks relatable visual as the content has the picture perfect background, and some obvious unrealistic physics.

We currently use and prefer google ads, as our product needs intent in order to make the sale, 50K too 70K views on the organic content via social media is not what pays rent/stock/saleries/DEWA/e&/Petrol/etc/etc so give me 10 views and 2 sales over 100K views an 2 sales any day. With the google ads we pay our consultants a flat 10% on every sale, if not sale, no fee, and this should be with social media content as well, as mentioned views/forwards/emoji comments from the agencies plethora of accounts does not make money!!!!

I have seen competition that was generating 50K-100K views on content that was being organically generated in arabic with the company founder go out of business in around 12-18 months, because exactly that, they attracted the "professional beggers" called content creators, who had to call the owner on the brand name of the product they just recieved for free to promote, go out of business.

I assume since the conflict started many business may have lost a few solid customers due to their own issues in cashflow, and then went to the internet platforms too gain back that lost revenue with ads, I can see this as the CPC on google ads is higher. Since last 2 weeks I have noticed that I am getting a few intents to buy, with request for information, but no actual sale, this is due to each and every household counting every fils, also for my industry the summer is the low season, also stocks are very very low with us, and if we get an inquiry we now just requote from resellers that we know have stock but can't reach the lead.

So for small business owners, figure out where your customer base is, from the past, from competitors and focus on that channel, figure out if they have the funds to buy your product at the moment, maybe this is not the right season, or the cost is too high as it requires high fuel consumption, i.e. camping products, and then decide if it is worth your while to invest in ads or not. If you believe that there is, by proof off sales data from say amazon sales data, and there is a way, or the competitor is selling, but you are not then maybe ask why, pricing issues, or maybe features of the product, or people just dont know you exist.

Hi, I would like to ask if property shared ownership equally with another person other than your spouse can qualify for a 2, 5 or 10 year visa, or is it still only with spouse to meet the minimum required. If property is on sole owner then they would qualify for 10 year visa.
