first job in retail (replenishment)

hi, i’ve recently got a job in replenishment at morrisons and i am very nervous to start. can anyone tell me what sorts of things id be doing and what will happen on my first shift/few shifts. i’ve heard that replenishment staff get loved around departments quite a lot and i don’t really like working the bakery or deli sections, anything else id be happy to do. speaking of this, what is the likelihood of overtime, and doing some picking shifts too? but yeah can anyone give any insight please? any help is greatly appreciated, yours sincerely a very nervous person :)

MRes Application

i’ve applied for a MRes in an animal related subject and i’ve had an email back to ask for my research idea. i do have one but it’s very very vague. the only thing i know is that i want to collaborate with an external organisation and study animal behaviour with behaviour observations. i will be studying part time and have had no contact with a place currently to undertake research there. what could i fill on the form? or any advice please is really appreciated!

Commuting for Masters

I am thinking of doing a MSc degree at Manchester Met in September and I do not have enough to fund accommodation there so I will be commuting from Birmingham. I will only be at uni approx. 2 days a week (hopefully consecutively and lectures will be 5pm-8pm. I don’t know if it’ll be better for me to get a hotel overnight, but I fear the cost weekly will add up. I also get the opportunity to spend a 2 weeks (1 week in one sem and then 1 week) at another site. Do we think this is feasible. It’s the only place apart from plymouth that offers this masters and I feel I could do the commute but I don’t know financially. I would get the coach but it’ll be midnight before I even get home. Parking is also another issue as there isn’t any really onsite and as a loner effectively I’m a bit worried walking around manchester at night and it being still unfamiliar! Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Day 3/8

SW: 75.9kg CW: 74.3kg I think the hunger is finally going away! Been distracted with postgrad personal statements all day so has been helpful! Trying to at least hit 5-8k steps too!

help me get back into long walks

this is probably going to sound extremely lazy but how do i get back into actually going outside and walking for at least like an hour a day. for context i lost my grandad in the last year of uni and this completely destroyed me. so much so i don’t really go out. i don’t work currently because there are hardly any jobs going so i also think this lack of routine has contributed to me not really doing much. i don’t not do anything deliberately, i’m really trying but i just cannot get motivated :(
