Nail bed progress in 7 months

I just wanted to share this to give hope to anyone wanting to lengthen their nail beds. It is possible!!!

First photo is today. Second photo on top is 10 months ago, and on the bottom is 7 months ago. I didn’t know I made so much progress until I compared these old photos. I don’t consider my nail beds long now by any means, but they look more “normal” than those little nubs 10 months ago! 🥹 Also cool how they look less wide now, even though I leave my sidewalks the heck alone.

What I did: constant use of jojoba oil, gently pushing back the proximal nail fold everyday (or at least I try to), only filing with a glass file, always keeping nails polished, and no scraping underneath my nails.

I’ve also never let my nails grow more than ~2 mm past my fingertips bc of my hobbies (they are at the same length as my fingertips 99% of the time) but I’ve read that growing them out longer can help to lengthen them too. But interestingly, even without doing this, I see a major difference!

No chips or tip wear on Day 7?! Thanks to combining tips/hacks from this sub.

This is a first for me. Usually the maximum I can go with no chips is 2-3 days. 4 if I’m lucky. My usual routine is: Nailtiques 2 + ridge filling base + 2-3 coats of colour (depending if I have a special effects topper or not) + nail strengthener + QDTC. The strengthener-before-QDTC trick makes a difference in my wear time and minimizes shrinkage. But what I did differently this time was that I used one of those 4 sided buffing blocks on just the last 2mm or so of my nail surface (not the roughest grit side, but the other 3). I have stubborn peeling on a couple nails which I have to smooth out, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt the integrity of my other nails toooo much to smoothen out just the tips so that there are no micro-scraggly bits for chips to start. It seems to be working! Does anyone else do this?

EasyFive Subtle Flare pants!!

I don’t see any posts in here about these pants but they’re on sale and available in my size in the colour I want! Anyone able to chime in on how they like them, the fit, etc?? Sadly they’re not in stock at my local store to try on. I’m guessing the sizing is the same as the City Sleek Wide Legs?

Did anyone purchase the baby tee from this tour?

If so, what’s the sizing like? And how is the quality? :)

EDIT: I found a sizing chart from their Armada merch store for pretty much the exact same shirt (different font). I’ll put it in the comments!

Influence or de-influence me please

I wear an 8 in every Lulu sports bra (big rib cage and muscular back) but 6 in non-form fitting long sleeves. 32C bra size. Would a 6 be fine? How do you like yours?

Nail clips. This is your sign to get them!!!!

Y’all. Y’ALLLLL. My life is forever changed. I should’ve done this ages ago. Maybe most people already know/do this and I’m late to the party…. But better late than never right?

So not too long ago, I saw someone on here recommend using nail clips and cutting cotton pads into small pieces to remove nail polish. And I’m happy to report that it works SO WELL!! And it is super satisfying when you remove the cotton pad. No rubbing, no colour transferring onto your skin, no mess. Truly. And the feeling of it coming off so easily is like when you peel off a price label in one fell swoop. 😌😌😌

This is your sign, lacqueristas. Get on the nail clip game. And use less cotton pads as a bonus. 💅🏻

I would like to take my hair from its current state (Pic 1) to something like Pic 2. From playing around with online colour mixers (Pic 3), I gather that my dye formula needs to have a cool toned dark red in it (currently using 2:1 ratio of Pulp Riot Deviant and Cupid). Now my question is, do I mix the desired colour (red + purple) and put it on top of my current hair, or is it better to add just the dark red on top of my current hair?

Sorry if this is a silly question, I’m pretty new to vivids!
