Bixie Update
Last time I posted, folks said they couldn't see the Bixie very well. So, here's an updated before and after now that I've had the style for a bit.

Last year, I tried capturing smoke on the scanner for the first time. I spent a lot of time contemplating how I would change it if I tried again, today was that day.
Does anyone here have direct experience working with The Arts Partnership? I signed up back in June and they have yet to process my application or update their website with my listing. Curious if others have experienced the same thing. If so, what did you do?
Heard Reed Timmer was in town, knew we'd be in for some good clouds.
They're so fluffy.
Still smouldering from burnout, but I feel lighter.
I’ve spent years growing my hair out, but I can’t stand it touching my back/neck/face and I don’t style it often.
Most of the time, I have my hair up and that’s causing headaches. IMO, it’s time to just cut it to something practical.
Honest opinions. Aiming for a textured, wavy Bixie.
Storms popping up all over.
I have a weird conundrum and I'm curious if other artists have experienced something similar.
I'm a fine art photographer in a rural part of the U.S., about 30 minutes from a larger city. I've been part of the local art community for over a decade and have built a lot of friendships and professional relationships along the way.
People seem genuinely interested in my work and the processes behind it, and my photography has received recognition well beyond my local area. Yet when opportunities come up for artist talks, panels, workshops, or other community-facing events, I'm consistently overlooked.
At what point do you stop trying to earn recognition from a local art community and accept that it may simply not see you in that role?
Has anyone else experienced a disconnect between how their work is received locally versus elsewhere? How did you navigate it?
I like both for different reasons, which one stands out to you?
This is a self portrait
