Quirk: borrowed strength.

The user can borrow the quirk from other heroes. But he can give them back even without physical contact. He basically holds it in his body, but once he let's go, the original users have their quirks back.

- while using this power, the original user of the quirk is powerless.

- character that borrows the power of others will face the same backlashes as the original users, but they can build up a tolerance through training. (The user could handle zero gravity strain more than uraraka for example, or navel laser can be user normally.)

- the user will have compatibility with the quirk for a while.

-for mutants, they remain the same, but they cannot use their quirks freely while this is in effect.

- The original user has to give their consent. While using the quirk, they feel a pull. They can give it willingly, or decline by activating their quirk for a second.

As an awakening,

- the user could temporarily combine multiple quirks but even having them causes a major strain on his body and can even break it apart over long use depending on which quirks they borrow.

Drawbacks

- the user starts with each borrowed quirk as a beginner. So, they'd have to borrow them.often and learn how to use them, or learn quick.

- of there is no one to borrow a quirk from, the user is just a normal human.

- overusing multiple quirks at once can break the body down, and can even put a strain on the body for multiple days later.

-using multiple strong quirks gives that much more of a strain.

This quirk is more for a support type hero and can basocally continue the fight with a quirk that has already lost the fight. On 1 side, this could mean he's fighting a losing battle. On the other side, he's using the same power with a different perspective.

This quirk could also combine multiple quirks for a strong attack.

For example: usibg fierce wings and endeavor's hellflame. Covering himself in flames while using the speed from fierce wings as a flying fire tornado attack (this would cause a huge strain)

This could also be used to teach eri how to use her quirk, and also to figure out more uses of a quirk because everyone thinks differently.

In a way, this quirk is similar to monoma since he can only shine by borrowing the strength of others. This quirk could also buy heroes some time to recover while he's using their quirks, and giving them hints on how to beat the opponent.

Indestrucable

A ... mutant? Quirk where the user's body itself is indestructable. The user's bones cannot break, their organs will always be healthy, and they cannot be cut either. It's almost impossible to.kill the user.

Downside:

The user can still feel the pain of everything that happens.

They cannot bleed, but can still feel the pain of slashes and cuts.

With quirks like Shigi and overhaul, this will just send a heavy pain through their nerves system, but they cannot break the user's body.

If you could recreate Ofa, which quirks would you add to it?

So, the title basically speaks for itself.

If you could recreate ofa, which quirks would you add?

Like, the strength/speed part could be a part of the quirk together with it being passed on.
Ofa had Fajin - Smokescreen - Danger sense - Gear shift - Float added to it.

What are some quirks that aren't that significant or strong alone, but would be great to add together as One for all? Also, it doesn't have to copy One for all in terms of raw strength and speed. You could also make it versatile or very specific to a certain scenario or idea that you have. For example, maybe you want him speed based or stealth based.

I'm really curious how you'd recreate One for all if you could add about 5 quirks to the transfer part and the stockpiling strength part.

question

do you think that the flux from galactic football could be made into a quirk?

For example, "The breath" Could be a speed and power enhancer, but it's shown by some kind of air around them.

Something i thought that could be cool, is that the flux reacts to emotions. Being prickly and agitated would give "The charge" IT trades in power for slightly more speed and agility. Anger could turn in the metal scream, paralyzing opponents or making them flinch. Having wild emotions or gaining a wild personality could cause The flux to change into "The roar" From the wamba's, giving more leg strength, causing them to be able to run and jump high, but the arm strength disappears.

If someone succumbs to darkness, the flux turns into the smog.

Basically, "The breath" Would be a more pure form while there are some parts that it could optionally temporarily change to, but once the user starts to change, the flux could change maybe permanently.

I know that it doesn't make much sense with how i explained it, the breath temporarily changing, and in some cases permanently. But it's just options that came to mind and i really wanted to share it.

My question is: Could the flux/the breath, be a quirk?

And if so, how would you make it work?

What do you think?

I plan on making a fic where the main character works with the police but has a permit to use his own quirk for his job. My character has a sort of teleportation quirk, but he also learned stealth and martial arts. Stealth to go around and gather information, and martial arts in case it turns into a fight. He's basically between the police and heroes and sometimes helps heroes or the commission as well.

I was thinking of putting an oc as his partner, but i'm wondering, what's a better option.

  1. A partner that's a hero with a quirk that could work well with mc's quirk?

  2. A civilian with a hacking quirk, or maybe someone with a mobility quirk and a big curiosity, so they recorded video or audio which got them being chased. Not just by villains, but also someone doing shady stuff in the commission and them being connected to something they recorded, so they send "Shadows"(Heroes that they know nothing about, and people similar to hawks and nagant.) after them.

What do you guys think would be better? The mc teaming up with a hero? Or the mc finding this person snooping around until they eventually get chased by villains and the dark side of the commission?

what kind of quirk could be a good partner?

so, i thought of a quirk similar to flying raijin, and i'm thinking of making a fic about it. However, in this story, the main character is going to work for the police instead of being an actual hero, he just has a license to use his quirk for his job. The mc will have stealth and fighting experience, so he gets to do work between police and heroes even without being an actual hero.

However, i would like to pair him up with an oc hero. I'd like to try and find a person with a quirk that could work with his. So, either something that can cover his weaknesses, or something that could help the mc with his own quirk. (For example, the mc puts a mark on a weapon, he throws it, and they could redirect it) It could also possibly be something that the pairing needs to get up close to the enemy, and mc could help them make that work.

Just some info on the mc's quirk.

(For now) it's called Flying raijin

- user can put marks on the ground, clothes, people or objects and teleport between marks.
- the marks can either be temporary one or a permanent one.
- The temporary ones will stay while the user is in range, but also has a time limit of how long the last.
- Permanent ones stay until he takes them away, but they take quite a bit of time to be placed.
- The user can teleport between the marks. If he throws an object, he can teleport towards the mark on it, throw the object again and teleport again, but he himself will not move at the speed of the object. He will appear on the place where the object was when he teleported.
- User can teleport others along, but he has to mark them as well, and make physical contact with them.

As a possible awakening (optional)

The user can teleport objects or people at will, even from a distance, but only if marked. This will be harder against enemies as they can reject it with a strong will. The user will mostly use this for allies who are willing to be teleported since they give no resistance.

Placing a mark on a person also depends on their will. If they reject him or see him as an enemy, it takes longer to place a decent mark on them. If they let him do it, the process goes faster. Resistance is stronger when the opponent is using their quirk.

I was looking for something to go along with this. It's a quirk that let's the user move around quickly but it doesn't buff him physically at all. It's similar to Mirio as he has to anticipate the movement of his enemies, because he's up against super humans sometimes.

Do you guys know what kind of hero/quirk i can pair up with this?

u/variares132 — 6 days ago

How good would this be?

So, i was randomly scrolling the internet, and saw a post of Naruto, and started thinking...

How well would minato's flying raijin do as a quirk in mha?

The user has to put a mark on people or objects so he/she can teleport around. This cpuld be useful, but i also feel like it's a little bit like Mirio's power, he has to anticipate movements to make it work properly, but do you guys think that it could be a good quirk?

For example

The user has to mark objects, places or people. He can put a temporary mark or a permanent one. He can sense these marks. The permanent ones will always be with him. The temporary ones have a range around them.

The permanent one would drain more of his energy than a permanent one, a temporary one could go from lasting 1 hour to 1 full day. The temporary mark also disappears if the user is too far away.

This could work well for a stealth hero, or a support hero, but can be used for a main hero. With training, the user could teleport away with innocent civilians, or kidnapped people. But they could also teleport heroes to the scene by grabbing on to them and teleporting to a permanent mark.

This quirk combined with stealth teaining and martial arts training to learn how to fight could make this really all round for a hero.

Can i have some opinions or feedback on this? I could be looking at this completely wrong.

question/quirk request

could anyone make a quirk based off of Scizor from Pokemon?

I was thinking about it and thought of a transformation where the user would be engulfed in something that looks like a red armor, and it gives the user a speed boost, but aside from that, i don't know anything on if this could be a good quirk or not, or what it could do, or if there are any other variations that could be used.

2 quirk ideas that i had.

Both are a little similar.

  1. Drain.
The can choose to drain through a touch. He can touch objects and drain the energy to regain stamina, but the user can also drain "Stats" from enemies. The user can drain on a punch and slowly drain the enemy's strength/stamina to build his/her own strength, the longer the fight drags on, the more energy/power the user can drain, but each hit he delivers uses up this power, meaning that he'd have to drain a lot before he can even use a strong power.
Note: the user cannot drain objects to gain strength, only some Stamina, but he cannot heal fatigue like that, meaning that high fatigue will drain stamina more quickly.

  2. Revenge
The user gets stronger on each hit. The more damage the user sustains, the stronger they get, with their peak being near death. Using this power causes a huge strain. The user starts off like a regular human. Heavy hits can drastically increase the user's power. This quirk is basically a double-edged sword as the user needs to be injured to get stronger.

Vision

The user will have different eyes (Haven't decided yet on how they look)

With this quirk, the user can change it's vision into multiple different ways. He could change his eyes to see further away, similar to zoom.

However, the user can also change his sight to see through walls, or even have like an X-ray vision to see under clothes, or even through the human body to look at pressure points, muscles and even organs. The user can even see the skeleton. Each have a different vision.

The user could become a doctor with this as he could see broken bones, or torn muscles. He could spot bleedings in the body which normally couldn't be seen, or even see tumors.

Or, the user could become a detective. Following illegal activities from a safe distance by either looking further away, or through a wall. They could spot hidden weapons, drugs or other things.

They could also become a scientist like Mei Hatsume who uses her zoom to make her support gear.

However, the user could also become a fighter with this quirk as a different vision could make him look at the muscles, which show when the opponent is getting ready to move/attack, but he could also use it to attack pressure points or weak points in the bones, muscles or organs to deal as much damage as possible.

This is a versatile quirk all based on sight.

What do you all think about this?

Who can i trust?

Wrong title for the story idea, but i can't change it anymore.

Haruto Kamazuchi is a young boy with a quirk called: Null.

Null is an Emitter/mutant type quirk. His eyes can see the power of a quirk through a different color than what's actually coming at him. His quirk negates the effects of said quirk. It basically erases the quirk's effect on him. Flames from a quirk pass by him, but feel warm. Explosions from Bakugo's quirk don't harm him. Todoroki's ice would shatter through a touch of his hand. Poison or other effects from quirks don't work either.

Haruto can activate his quirk as an emitter. By doing so, he can erase the quirk effects of things he touches. Mutants wouldn't change, but would lose their emitter abilities. Overhaul's spikes can be stopped with a touch as well.

Because of this quirk, Haruto was seen as amazing and useless at the same time. Some saw him as a godsend because his quirk made him more useful than Aizawa when fighting villains, and yet people saw him as useless because he had no special power, and unlike Aizawa, he can't erase quirks from a distance.

The hero commission found out about him, and had their own plans. With a quirk like that, he could be valuable in the field. Because of this, they send a secret organization after him. Their purpose was to strengthen his body and muscles. They wanted him to have a stronger body (Similar to Afo, Shigi, All might and the Nomu's) So that he could fight villains while using the power of his abilities.

Haruto's father was a detective, and he figured out what the hero commission did. He gathered evidence and placed it in a small chip. The commission found out, and before they caught him, he injected the chip with the evidence inside of his own son without him even knowing it. Haruto's father was arrested, but Haruto was still out in the open.

He wanted to be a hero, but at the same time, he didn't know if he could be one. Because his quirk was one that didn't harm others, he didn't need a hero license, so he didn't really have to go to a hero school. At the same time, he wanted to save people. Because of the scientists, he was more durable, faster and stronger than a normal human. He was also a really smart kid, smarter than others his age, and he had fast reflexes. He was thinking of going to the police to work with them, but then he'd have limitations.

He was wandering, looking for what kind of future he wanted. He only had a handful of friends, and his family wasn't around him. He was looking for a purpose, and a place to belong to. That's when the commission reached out to him together with Nezu.

They asked him if the rumors about his quirk were real, and once they figured out that it was, they gave him a special job offer. One that would allow him to work as a hero, but also have a regular job. He'd assist All might at the hero course with hero training sessions for the first years. At the same time, he was allowed to team up with heroes and stop villains. This was also a double agenda for both Nezu and the safety commission.

The commission wanted to keep him in sight. They saw him as a weapon to catch villains, but they also thought that he knew where the information was. At the same time, Nezu knew about the chip and offered him this job to keep him safe around heroes.

Things seem peaceful as Haruto finds a purpose, and even finds a love interest, but things change when the commission realizes that Haruto actually holds the information that his father hid.

This is a story about Haruto who feels useless with a strong power while also holding the commission's secret. The commission sends people from the shadow (Similar to how Nagant did those jobs in the shadow) after Haruto to try and take him down to get the evidence back. At the same time, heroes from U.A. high, Hawks, and a few heroes he's teamed up with, will help him, all while the villains slowly make a move of their own.

Question about a quirk.

So, i was thinking of making horn of salvation from Ichigo a quirk.

The quirk would be a transformation quirk, giving the user 2 demonic horns (Like vasto lorde Ichigo) And also giving him the markings. There will be a black circle on his chest, moving to his arms, shoulders, and over his stomach. It also covers his face a bit.

This transformation gives him a boost in power, speed, stamina and Durability which is just part of his form itself. As powers, he can use a quick step like Sonido, he can cover himself in a red energy to give himself some more destructive power for charge moves such as him charging through a wall or a horde of villains. As an ace move, he'll have A move similar to a cero. The transformation will also bring some regeneration, allowing him to heal broken bones if given the time, and he can also regrow his own limbs, but it would still hurt like hell.

Downsides

- The user is sensitive to negative emotions, meaning that he can lose his cool. He needs to stay calm. But he is also sensitive to negative emotions from others, meaning that he can feel killing intent and hatred.

- If the character can't keep a clear head, he can go berserk. His transformation will continue and bring a mask. At this point, he drowns in the negative emotions and he will most likely go too far if not stopped.

- The user can regenerate, but this still drains some energy. The more beaten up the user, the slower the healing, and overusing the regeneration/healing makes it slower as well. A healthy user could heal a bad injury quickly. Worn out, he'd need to stop the bleeding. The healing and regeneration also doesn't negate the fatigue and pain that an injury brings.

Lastly,

- The user looks like a demon in his transformed form. He'd definitely be high on the list of heroes that look like villains, and he'd scare a lot of people. Some would even tell him that he'd be more like a villain than a hero.

That's what i personally came up with. Please give me some feedback or your thoughts on this.

I'm open to switching things up a bit, or to adjust it, but it just looked like a cool idea.

could this be used?

Quite a while ago, i was talking to someone in this group about making a quirk that allowed my character to use a power that enhances his abilities, but later on, also manifest 2 blades, and allow him to use air walk.

I was wondering if you guys could tell me if this could work or not. Here is what we came up with:

Quirk: Reiryoku. (Temporary name. Might stay)

Emitter/sensory type quirk.

The quirk allows the user to use their spiritual power (Quirk factor/stamina) To augment their physical abilities, and can sense other people's power as well. (Similar to Ragdoll's search, but the user can just see the opponent's spirit/power/strength)
With training, the user is able to affect the world around them, being able to walk and run on air (Air walk), and eventually creating a physical manifestation of their quirk in the form of two blades. These blades become the emitter point of the quirk.

I was thinking of using this power, but i was wondering if it could work. This quirk would be the combination of his parents their quirks. The mother would have a chi type quirk where she is a martial artist and can boost her power and speed through chi, but also give powerful Fist/palm strikes. The father would have a quirk which allowed him to create weapons from his body, making him able to create it in a similar way to Momo Yaoyorozu, but him being able to control them and reform them.

The character i want to make would start off with a quirk similar to his mom's but a bit improved and later on, his emitter part would resemble his dad's quirk. In this fic, My character is also a bit of an experiment as the hero commission is scared of Afo, so they tried to see if they could alter or enhance a quirk, which would lead to him getting this quirk. <- this is just for some context.

your thoughts on this?

i started thinking of new quirks, or maybe using powers and making them quirks. I then came with the idea of using a Bleach power, but not one of the shinigami's.

I was thinking of making Yasutora sado's power a quirk.

How this works.

- The user can transform their arms, but at the start, the user can make a demonic arm, and a wide arm. The wide arms is defensive, while the demonic one is offensive. The user can coat it with something like energy. With the wide arm, he can use it as a shield, even blocking moves like flames or something by using his energy to strengthen it. The demonic arm becomes destructively powerful.

- The second phase of this power is the user being able to switch sides. At first, his left arm is defense, right arm is offense. However, through training, the user can switch these sides, making the right arm defensive, and the left offensive.

- Third phase, both arms can change into a specific style. Either both defense or both offense. This is good for when he needs a specific style to fight with.

- Awakening would be combining the 2 of them. A wider arm, but with the demonic black and white color. During this awakening, the arm can both block, and create a destructive power to strike, preventing the user from having to switch it around, and using both styles at once.

No idea if this would be any good, but it came to my mind. I wanted to share this idea and see what you guys think about this.

What is this power?

What if Izuku Midoriya unknowingly gets One for all, but his first power to show up, is actually black whip.

Izuku Midoriya was a young boy with a righteous heart. He wanted nothing more than to save people. The doctor said that he didn't have a quirk, but Izuku believed he was a late bloomer. Since he was being bullied for being quirkless, Izuku didn't have friends. This also gave him time. Time to adapt, time to train! He started working out and gathered information about quirks all around him.

Then, one day. He's right in the middle of an incident. There was a big villain incident with a lot of destruction. Izuku saw a skeleton looking man, panting with steam coming from his body as villains rushed him. Through instinct, Izuku grabbed a pole and he started protecting the man to the point where he himself nearly died from fighting villains with quirks. He bought enough time for heroes to arrive, and both he and the man were saved.

He didn't know that the man was actually All might, the number one hero. He also didn't know that All might was losing power quickly. He could only be a hero for a few hours, and his power was decreasing everytime he used his quirk. The situation from before was because he hit his limit and ran from villains before his time was really up. But that boy saved him.

All might had a talk with the boy who believed that he was a late bloomer. He learned that the doctor said that he was quirkless, but he believes that he still has a quirk. He wants to be a hero like All might, so, All might asked that if there were a chance, would he accept his quirk? Izuku immediately agreed because he wanted to be just like All might.

All might then did something questionable as he secretly put a hair in Izuku's food. He started watching the boy ever since that moment, but once his quirk finally manifested... it wasn't the super strength that All might had. It was Black whip which showed up first. But... Haruto was also able to learn it from someone that only he could see!

This fic would have Izuku starting with Black whip, because i feel like he'd be great with it on a technical front. He immediately sees the vestiges of the previous users, but they don't explain to him that he has One for all just yet. Instead, they train him to use these quirks. He unlocks one quirk at a time. But eventually, he can't hide his multiple powers anymore.

Note: He will learn Fajin and gear shift last because these 2 are just way too OP to have early on. He will start off with Black whip, shortly after he gets danger sense, Float and Smokescreen. Danger sense can be hidden with good reflexes and watching his surrounding. Float can be masked by using black whip as well. Smokescreen will be hidden through support gear. Eventually, he'll get super strength and he'll try to wrap his arm in black whip to try and hide it. But eventually, he can't use those extra things anymore and he'll show his real power.

Looking for mutant quirk

Hey guys, i'm looking for a mutant quirk, but one that still mostly looks human.

Mostly similar to like Ibara, Ojiro, Eri, tsunotori, asui.

Mostly looking for one that's still very human( NOT like spinner or fox girl)

The quirk is for a female character who i want to use in a fic. But while i want it to be a mutant, i also still want her to look mostly like a real human being, yet, make it obvious that she's a mutant.

I don't care if she has wings, horns or even a tail, but i have trouble thinking of a mutant quirk. I hope you guys can help me.

Emitter: Aura

- the user can see others their aura

- user can see what kind of nature the aura has, the darker the aura, the more rotten the person. The brighter the aura, the more pure the person is (pure as in good of heart)

- the user can sense others their aura's from a distance and if he focuses on it, he can feel.how strong it is.

- the user has aura vision even when blinded or having his eyes closed, meaning that they can still see the world around them a bit while mostly being guided by the aura's they sense.

Awakening options

- the user can spread his aura to fill an area. The feelings of love and care can comfort and calm others down. The feeling of hatred or having killing intent can cause the aura to feel tense and heavy which works as a way of intimidation.

- the user can see the aura inside a person more clearly, and they can tell when the opponent builds up their strength, giving the user a better chance to predict what's coming.

- user can slightly sense feelings, and he can tell when someone is lying or hiding something.

Drawbacks

- overusing while focusing can cause headaches or even migraines. (Aura vision is the least taxing with eyes closed as this is relaxing and using his quirk at the same time)

- seeing aura's can be bad. The person you thought was nice could actually be a villain.

- the awakening can be a drawback as it can create anxiety and break the user's trust when he keeps noticing that people lie to them or hide things from them.

- incredibly dark intentions and aura's could have a heavy impact on the user's mental state. (For example, afo's would be pitchblack and cause the user to panic and maybe even despair. Exposure to this quirk for a long time could drive the person to ending his own life if he isn't mentally strong enough)

Guardian angel

An OP emitter type.

The user itself doesn't gain any strength buffs, but has increidble powers which are still limited.

- the user can sense and feel where another person is, how they are doing, and basically feel what is up with that person.

- has incredible healing powers as it can heal limbs, and eyesight even from badly damaged eyes. The healing will basically seem like a miracle or like magic. (Cannot revive or heal someone with a guaranteed fatal wound)

- has telepathic powers (doesn't know how to use them for quite a while)

- can manifest wings like a real angel, but only temporary ones.

Drawbacks

- user has a hard time controlling these powers.

- the user can only use these powers for one person, and one person alone.

- user has to connect themselves to that one person. A form of love is required.

- once the bond is formed, the user can feel everything from the person that they are connected to. Meaning that they can even tell when the other is dying or sustained a fatal wound. They can also feel that person's mental state.

- the wings will only manifest when the user wishes to use their power for the one they connected to.

- any kind of healing on another person will fail.

- the user can never fall in love with any other person after having been connected to one person. This means that connected themselves to someone means that their heart belongs to that person. If that person dies, they can never fall for someone again.

This power is based on love, and while the user has somewhat of a free will on if they want to connect themselves, they will still feel the urge when they really love someone. They gain increidble power, but only for that one special person. They become their guardian angel, able to bring about a miracle, but even that has limits.

What is my goal?

Haruto Kamazuchi was seen as a creepy kid while growing up. People were scared of him, but not because he was so powerful. It was actually the opposite. Haruto didn't have any kind of power to overpower others. He just had the power to make others powerless.

Haruto had the quirk: Null.

His quirk has a similar effect as erasure, but only around his body. Emitter type quirks passed by him, and emitter quirks that were aimed directly at him turned to nothing. Effect quirks had no effect on him since the effect in his body was nullified, and even if someone merged their quirk with things, once it touched his body, it stopped because his quirk would nullify it.

To make things worse, once he touched someone, it felt as if their quirk wasn't even there anymore. Making physical contact with a person had the same effect as Aizawa's erasure.

His mother used to have a nullification quirk but on a weaker front. His father had an enhancement quirk Haruto had an enhanced nullification compared to his mother. His body itself was only slightly enhanced. His body was tougher, he was really smart and his overal physical abilities were enhanced... but only slightly. The buff was big enough to make him stronger than the average person, but too weak to consider it a quirk. His enhancement basically put him on an athletic lvl, but that was it. He was also very smart, and he learned quick.

That being said, Haruto had no idea what it was that he should do. He grew up with a single friend which always stayed by his side. But he had no purpose in life. People felt powerless because of him and it scared them.

However, things changed when he and his friend were asked to be support teachers at U.A. high school. His friend would help at the support course while Haruto would help at the hero course. His quirk could stop conflicts that went out of hand, and he was really smart, so he could still teach them a thing or 2.

They both accept, but they had no odea that their lives would change so drastically because of this decision.

In this fic, haruto will actually train deku to learn ofa properly. Deku learns full cowling sooner, and those that don't have fighting quirks get a bit stronger too. Haruto is also allowed to work in the field. He finds a partner that accepts him, he finds a place full of life with class 1A, and in the field, he can make himself useful!
