NCAP in Parañaque

NCAP in Parañaque

So, if we don't follow lane markings, we're ticketable, but for a lot of major roads, there are NO PROPER lanes! Lanes appear and disappear without any logic.

Signs are obscured by other signs and posts, and are placed so sparsely / discreetly. Implementing this without establishing proper groundworks already shades even the most compliant motorists.

Given the "hybrid" system here, how will the cameras / analytics override violations caused by enforcers who force a car to keep going / turn during a red light? When recording lasts 24h on standard vehicles, how can one contest a "forced violation" that happened, say, weeks ago?

Implementing something advanced and costly when the basic building blocks and structures are not in place can easily complicate and make situations pretty hairy.

DIM: Ucanbe Nostalgic Eyeshadow Palette

I'm a serial hobbyist with a recent fascination with eye make-up. I plan to use this Palette as a stepping stone to practice and learn more, and get it out of my system, before buying other brands.

I have looked into CBeauty and hage swatched at Colorist / KKV. While I was also eyeing Cheeryep, the colors I needed are in 2 separate palettes, but are both present here, although the pigmentation may be a bit different. Customizing my own palette will cost almost 3x the price of one.

My CBeauty friend swears by Ucanbe and how its pigments really stick and last, without being too chalky, and I could tell it's pretty accurate when I swatched.

I know the major point away from supporting Cbeauty has a lot of political, ethical, and social consoderations, but that can be said for everything China made. At the very least, it's Cruelty-free.

The colors I needed the most are its blackest black, dark red, red, and fruit colors. While there is a local palette from Fashion 21 that has the same red pigment, I wanted to have more fun colors as an option.

I rarely use makeup, but have made some good base "investments" for occasions where I need to meet up with a client / have meetings onsite. But I want to mix up my look for some time, attributing this to midlife crisis, but hey, we do what we do to entertain ourselves.

I go out thrice a month, mostly for errands. I feel great when I attempt to dress and look nice when going outside. I find doing pre shower makeup looks fun, after all I'll wash it off immediately anyway. But beyond that, I do not see this as something long term.

So please- talk me out of this palette, this brand, this interest-- I really want to buy it, but my hesitation springs from how long, and how often I'll actually use it. Is there a local brand that has the same pigment and stay, that is equally cruelty-free, and corruption-free?

Thanks!

Rediscovering makeup during this stage in life

The last time I was remotely interested in makeup was in my teens and very early 20s, primarily to cover up my acne, and for cosplay. From my mid twenties to where I am now, I focused on skincare ans skin health. Being in my line of work (work from home, meetings are mostly calls, nocturnal) made it unnecessary for any effort to put makeup on. I only had sunscreen and lip gloss on my wedding day.

Then, just a month ago, I had to attend a face to face meeting with media presence. I felt pressured to look "my best" given that I'll be with glam people so I quickly went to an SM department store and bought whatever the saleslady advised based on my skintone and type.

Now that I've had time to reunderstand how makeup works, I've started zoning in on what I really want to explore: supporting local, non problematic, cruelty free brands, and also branching out to more established international brands. Beautytalkph has been pretty helpful although the trends there are mostly for people in their 20s and 30s.

My "niece" (a neighbor kiddo who calls me Tita) ends up getting some of the makeup I bought on impulse following younger trends. 😅

Kinda curious what a 40 year old corpo mom should look like. I barely have any role models, although I've been in love with Lea Salonga's styling!

I have a friend who's crossing the 40s bridge soon who invited me to a "Tita makeup swatching date". My eyes are set on estee lauder, clinique, and nars, although I'm pretty sure I'll just get a lip tint. I'll need more prosecco to do full face.

This weekend, we will also attend a Nagomi art class. There will be coffee, tea, and hopefully some reds. There will be no life audit conversations, just soft pastels and paper.

I feel unusually youthful doing these activities. My friend says it's mid-life crisis. I say, it's affirming who we truly are.

Hike + Beach (with Sand!) - baby friendly- Batangas

Hello! Can you recommend a place in Batangas w/ an easy hike (Gulugod baboy is my go to but any other is fine), and is somehow nearby a beach with sand? The beaches near GGB kasi, eg. Eagle Point (been here) are stony, and requires a speedboat to go to Sepoc.

I'm not going to risk sea travel on a small boat pa with a baby and 2 seniors, but very happy to have a hike x beach itinerary spread around 3 days.

Can you recommend an alternative in the area?

Thank you!
