Got my hands on this Charmander bag!!

Ran to Target at lunch and they had one left! But the face looks a little weird...

Holy F@%#ing (mini) Grail

I'll be honest, I've had some serious misses when it comes to blind buys (see: my Aladdin Lincoln Drape lamp of Shame) and I was starting to get a little out of hand with my thrifting adventures. So I put my flashlights in a lockbox for 2 weeks 😅

Well today was the day I was released from UG Jail and I saw this little cutie on FB marketplace. Very little info beyond a couple normal photos but my spidey senses tingled...and they paid off!!

Only $45 for a gorgeous 1890-1910 miniature Waterbury brass clock!! No idea if she works, so hello new Clock Repair hobby 😆 I've been dying to find a UG clock but they're all huge and expensive so this could not be more perfect for my single-shelf collection 🥰🥹💚✨️

Does Cyan Beach ever get better?

My week has been full of Rattatas and oddly Mr. Mimes. Tbf I have only made it to M5 on Cyan so far but still. Do the good mons only start showing up past M20 or something? Or is this the throwaway island of the lot? Lol

Note: I'm well aware RNG can lead to bad weeks but I have yet to have a very interesting week in this area. I even chose it as an in-between-events space to save up cookies, as I had an inkling I wouldn't be tempted to spend much.

Anybody have any favorite islands? (Other than GG or GGX)

Glue that doesn't fluoresce?

I feel like someone mentioned it on a post...

I just picked up this cute basket today but realized after I bought it that the handle has a crack in it. It's too fragile for me to feel comfortable just leaving it so I wanted to fill it in with something. But I'd rather not ruin It's glow with an obvious line of adhesive! Anyone know of some effective but non-UV glowing glue?

Someone talk some sense into me...

So I just leveled up and got a Good Camp ticket. When I've had them in the past, I've started them Monday morning. But with Dragon week right now, I'm tempted to just use it now, but I'm wondering if I should save it for the Latios event?

My justification for using it now is 1. Dragon is my favorite Pokémon type and my only decent one is a Swablu lol 2. Having a better dragon team could help me for the Latios event. 3. Instant gratification

But not sure if it would be more of a waste if I'm only getting half an event week out of it? Thoughts?

Painted my own Blue Chicken!

Went to one of those "paint your own ceramics" places and saw this pudge of a dish and knew what I had to do!😍

I painted the bottom "feet" colors and the inside with blue speckles (what I imagine their eggs would look like irl). Also painted the edge of the lid and base a darker pixel outline color. Only wish the tail was curlier but I'm so happy with how she came out 🥰💙🐔

AIO?: Uranium Hunting Edition

I went to an antique store the other day. The owner behind the counter greeted me and asked what I was looking for. I generally just say glassware because people will usually tell me where to look without catching on to me specifically UV hunting.

Right up front there is a case filled with uranium glass. They were fairly unique, but the prices were "I know what uranium glass is so I'm going to charge more for it" high. The guy sees me looking and so end up saying I know what it is. He's nice enough but I know I'm likely not going to find any undiscovered pieces/deals today.

But the store/warehouse is PACKED with stuff. So much so that there are whole sections that you can't walk through to look at things. So I browse around anyway.

Towards the back of the store I catch a glimpse of some promising looking custard bowls. They're on a higher shelf behind a table of stuff but still in the shoppable area, so I find a way to grab them.

Lo and behold, a couple pieces light up! But there are no price tags. I do some quick Google image searches of the pieces (I've not done this before and ended up paying way too much for things). The guy seemed nice enough, his store was packed, there was no price tag, so I thought maybe I could make an offer on one.

I take it up front, the guy sees it, and goes "wait, where did you find that??" I told him and when he realizes there isn't a price tag on it, he goes to "look it up". I'm thinking he has a digital inventory of his stock and he just didn't put a tag on it.

Suddenly another employee approaches me saying he is going to price it and asks to take a picture of the piece with his phone.

HE THEN GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCHES IT ON EBAY DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. I'm literally standing there holding the piece in my hands while this guy takes nearly 10 minutes searching ebay and asking AI about what it is and how much others are selling it for. He reports back to the owner and tells me $85, prices I saw for similar pieces in much better condition. I'm a bit dumbfounded by the whole exchange so I say "well that's too rich for my blood" and leave.

So my question is: was that as rude of an interaction as it felt? If I wanted ebay prices, I would have gone on ebay! I understand that this is likely how they price a lot of things, but doing it directly in front of a customer on a piece you didn't even know you had because your store has way too much in it was just so off-putting and unprofessional? I wasn't rude when I left, but I'm half tempted to leave a review. AIO?

My recent hauls! Pics 4-5 are a Manganese creamer/sugar set and 6-7 is a Neodymium southern bell (my first Neodymium piece!).

But 1-3 is this funky gradient rose bowl! The first pic is in 365 and the green feels like such a uranium green! But the 395 (2nd pic) doesn't show any green 😭 and just highlights the neon orange on top, which doesn't quite come through in the pic. And the 3rd pic being in normal light.

I would love any info on it! I'm guessing it's a selenium/cadmium combo flowing into manganese? This piece just proves further that I need a geiger counter 😅

Found this dark green piece that glows under 395 but the glow feels more opaque than normal? It doesn't seem like a coating but wanted to check the experts here: is this uranium glass?
