I have been so pleased with my 2026 Commonwealth Games Edition that I decided to look up the previous gen. Found one brand new from a dealer and couldn’t pass it up. I’m really digging the previous gen HCs, even a bit more than the current ones.
I’ve been eyeing some pieces from Ball for a while now and have been intrigued by the tritium vials instead of regular lume. Found an unbeatable deal on this Engineer Hydrocarbon EOD that I just couldn’t pass up. The lume does not disappoint. I know it’s probably too big for my tiny wrist, but I’ve always liked larger watches and can see this being a daily for me. The titanium makes it wear so light on the wrist.
I swore I wasn’t gonna buy any more Owalas as I already have plenty and my wife just got me a customized 30oz Sway. Then Dick’s drops my favorite color and I was powerless.
I had a decent watch collection about 15+ years ago but then ended up wearing a smartwatch for the past decade and got rid of my collection.
A little over a month ago, I decided to buy the Relax as a bit of a joke. After wearing it for a few days I could tell I had opened Pandora’s Box.
I got the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean a bit under a month ago. It’s always been my grail and I immensely regretted selling the one I previously had.
I was waiting to get one of the new Longines HydroConquest models and while researching I fell in love with the previous generation Black with Green. I ended up choosing that over the current green on green.
As soon as I saw the new Longines HC Commonwealth Games edition, I had to grab it.
It’s been a fun albeit expensive month. Not sure how long it will be before I add another piece to the collection. My wallet and sanity hope it’ll be a while.
I’m having trouble finding a rubber strap for my HC. I want one close to the Longines version, with no gaps and I’d like some sort of quick-release deployment clasp. A previous post linked one to Etsy but it’s shipping from Bulgaria and will take a while. Was hoping for something quicker to the US. Any suggestions??
My Commonwealth Games edition was delivered Monday but I couldn’t resist pulling the trigger on this one as well. I was originally planning to get the new HC in Green but I actually ended up liking this combo better. I like how the green bezel is only noticeable in certain light. Shoutout to Mihi at Exquisite Timepieces for the excellent service and insanely fast shipping!
42mm was just delivered 10 minutes ago and I already love it. Fit and finish are great. I prefer a bigger watch so I’m happy with my first venture into the world of Longines!
