For those of you who speak multiple languages, in what language do you talk to your pets?

I am a native English speaker but since I live in a Spanish speaking country, I default to Spanish for my dogs.

Bursinia genei

Saw this guy while out for a hike. Super cool, it looks like it's headless.

¿Es el gazpacho una sopa fría o una bebida... o una tercera cosa misteriosa?

Help me end a debate with a friend.

{edit: por contexto estamos en Andalucía, no sé si cambia por comunidad autónoma o no}

¿Cuáles son los mejores nombres para perros que has escuchado?

Soy voluntario en una protectora de animales y muchas veces tenemos que poner nombres a los perros que traen. Cuéntame los mejores nombres!

First page is only two sentences long: what do you think?

This is the first page of a book I am reading. It is translated from Hungarian. There are only two sentences on this page.

How do you feel about this? Does this speak more to the translation or is this a solid technique for creating a sense of stress to the reader?

Edit- the book is "The Melancholy of Resistance" by László Krasznahorkai

How long did it take you to progress from 30kms to 70+kms?

And what advice would you give? I am consistently doing 30kms with 1500m+ elevation gain and want to break into longer races. 37f here 💪

{edit} - You guys are great 😊 I appreciate all the can-do attitudes. When you're the only one in your friend group who does trail + long distances, you tend to get a lot of high eyebrows and "that's not a good idea". I will be planning a 50km race now 👏👏
