Recommendations for Small paving job
I had to get my water line replaced in the spring which required a small section of my driveway (4x10) to be dug up. This’ close to Vitos restaurant. Can anyone recommend a paving company that does these types of small projects and with whom you’ve had good experience with. Thanks in advance.

Many people who work at Arden were on UI, disability, pensions, etc. They didn’t question it as they didn’t want to declare the revenue. I’ve always seen this as fraud. Further, most sleep on the job against regulations. So don’t pay income tax and get paid to sleep. Sounds like a good gig to me. The directors and contractors knew it was a ruse but hoped nobody would notice. As they have scheduled shifts many weeks in advance and these “independent contractors “ only had one client Arden so I don’t think this can qualify as business income either allowing them to deduct expenses. The CRA does allow for “informal arrangement” care taking to be tax exempt but not an organized system like this. This was fraud on a mass scale. Why should people who work in nursing snd special care homes doing much more demanding work (not what I do) have to pay income taxe like most Canadians and these “independent contractors” don’t. CRA should go back 7 years IMO.

I recently grinded the bottom of a cast iron tub in a older home I have without considering it was lead paint that had been used. The door to the bathroom was closed and I used a mask and I've wet wiped down the walls in the bathroom and was thinking of doing the second floor walls as well (since the tub is located on that floor). The whole process may have taken 1-2 hours. I wanted to apply a new coat to the tub floor. How concerned should I be about any lead particles caused by this ? I know I can hire an outside company to come and compete tests but I'm just wanted to get an idea if that's necessary. Any informed opinions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Cheers.
