| Ward 3 Rebecca Lewington Union City, Hayward, San Lorenzo, Fremont, Castro Valley, Fairview Longtime mountain biker, hiker and dog lover. Endorsed by a broad coalition of Democratic leaders, park directors, community advocates and union members. Running a strong campaign in the only ward without an incumbent, against a candidate who is combative and holds a narrow view of how people should enjoy OUR parks. | Ward 5 Bruce Henry Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, Sunol, Fremont, Newark Supporter of more funding for trails. He was elected by his peers to be the chair of the EBRPD Park Advisory in part because of his leadership skills and willingness to work with others. The incumbent has voted against the Wildcat Flow Trail twice. Bruce is not accepting donations. Website |
| Ward 7 Colin Coffey Antioch, Bay Point, Brentwood, Crockett, Hercules, Martinez, Oakley, Pittsburg, Rodeo and more An incumbent up for re-election, and a strong supporter of more and better trails that satisfy all types of users. He has pushed for trails across the District in the next few years, backed the Briones pilot and the Wildcat Flow Trail, and supported reallocating Measure WW funds toward park projects. Colin is a strong incumbent with a weak opponent. While he will appreciate donations, this is a lower priority than donations to Rebecca. Donate to ColinWebsite |
| Ward 6 (Concord, Danville, San Ramon, Walnut Creek): incumbent John Mercurio is unopposed and will be reappointed without an election. He has been a consistent supporter of trails in the District, including the Briones pilot and the Wildcat Flow Trail. All four are endorsed by CAMTB, the California Mountain Biking Coalition. |

I wanted a better Wiggle tshirt so I made one that is an homage to my favorite band shirts + emoji 😵💫. The mouth is a map of the wiggle
I've been a huge fan of the Wiggle for a long time. It has such a nice flow, cuts through one of the best neighborhoods and dodges a bunch of hills. I especially love doing it from north to south as you can really get a nice flow going if you make the lights. My friend bought me a long sleeve wiggle shirt from the 90s many years ago and it was always a bit cheesy (had that 'life is good' 90s stick figure vibe).
Anyway, I've always been a fan of band shirts + the spiral eye emoji + I work in GIS. So I put the labeled map as the mouth and made a design in inkscape that is an homage to those.
Holler if anyone wants one. Still deciding on whether to print on black (most likely) or some other color. cheers :)

The East Bay Bike Party starts at Richmond BART today. Meets at 730pm and usually rolls at 800pm ish. Bring a bike, lights, many layers, costume optional. Theme is Asymmetrical Fiesta!

I'm not this guy, I promise. Not trying to sell anything. Just thought this was an inspiring video. If I were to do this trip, I'd probably have $2-4k in bike + gear with me. But I enjoy seeing people do it on a more shoestring budget. I'm a bit guilty (like many of us) of collecting gear but not using it as much as I could. So I love seeing people who are winging it more.
