BTU Cottbus M.Sc. AI – Can I upload my Semester 8 result PDF instead of the official marksheet?

Hi everyone,

I'm applying for the M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence at BTU Cottbus. My Semester 8 results have been announced, but my university hasn't issued the official hard-copy marksheet yet.

Can I upload a screenshot of the official result PDF (or the result PDF itself) for my application and submit the official marksheet later once it's available?

Has anyone applied to BTU Cottbus or through uni-assist in a similar situation? I'd really appreciate your advice.

Thanks!

dMAT requirement for Engineering grads (India) — planning Winter 2026/27 or Summer 2027 intake, APS already done in March 2026

Hi all,

Trying to get my timeline straight for German Master's applications given the new dMAT rollout, since it only launched a couple of days ago.

My background:

Engineering graduate, India

Already have my APS certificate, issued March 2026 (before dMAT existed)

Planning to apply for both Winter summer /27 and Summer 2027 intakes to maximize chances

Questions:

For Winter and summer/27 — does my existing APS certificate still hold, or could Engineering applicants be asked to retroactively submit a dMAT score?

For Summer 2027 — I understand dMAT is mandatory for affected fields (Engineering, Commerce/Finance/Economics, Business/Management). Can anyone confirm?

Since I'm applying to both, should I just take the dMAT now so it's covered for either intake, especially with some universities (RWTH, Göttingen) weighting it heavily in admissions?

Has anyone gotten clarity from APS India on this exact scenario (APS already issued + affected field + applying across two intakes)?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Band prediction for task 2 ielts

It is often argued that improving people's lives should be the primary aim of science. While this view highlights the importance of enhancing human well-being through scientific advancements, there are also compelling reasons to consider the value of scientific research in expanding knowledge and understanding. This essay will examine both perspectives before reaching a balanced conclusion.

The main purpose of scientific research is to solve human problems and enhance the well-being of human life, as the reason behind the development is human. One of the major reasons behind supporting this argument is that with the help of modern technology, medical advancements such as vaccines, antibiotics, and treatments have increased life expectancy. Furthermore, as the scientists do more research, innovations improve communication, transportation, and daily convenience. In addition to this, scientific development helps humans to address global challenges like climate change, earthquakes and clean energy. Research that directly makes human life better can help to overcome the problem of poverty and inequality.

On the other hand, the primary aim of science is to expand knowledge and understand the universe. Many important discoveries have been made through research that had no immediate practical purpose. Scientists in fields such as astronomy and theoretical physics focus on understanding natural phenomena rather than solving everyday problems. Furthermore, fundamental research often leads to unexpected innovations that benefit society in the long run. Science should not be limited to improving people's lives, as the pursuit of knowledge is also valuable.

In conclusion, although it is true that science plays an important role in expanding knowledge and understanding the universe, I believe that improving people's lives should be its primary aim because it leads to better health and living standards and contributes to solving major global challenges.

Suggestion for applying in Paderborn University?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for the M.Sc. Computer Science program at Paderborn University in Germany.

My profile:

- B.E. in Computer Engineering (India)

- German grade: 2.1

- IELTS: 7.0

- No GRE

The university mentions that international students can prove eligibility through:

- very good final grades OR

- GRE OR

- TestAS/dMAT

I’m confused whether I should still apply without GRE. Does a 2.1 German grade count as “very good” for admission there?

Also, has anyone from India received admission to Paderborn CS without GRE?

Would really appreciate any guidance or profile evaluations. Thanks!
