Hello!

I recieved an email today allegedly from JPMorgan saying "We're processing your application" to open a self-directed investment account. I did not apply for this account and don't have any accounts with JP or with Chase. I had my identity stolen a few years ago, and have always been suspicious of emails like this.

I can't call the help line till later this week because of work, but is this something that they email about? Are self directed investment accounts a service they offer? The email is sent from alerts.no.reply@jpmorgan.com and addresses me by a name I no longer legally have. I also found an email on their website to forward these things to for abuse but don't know if I should expect an email back from them. Is there anything the folks here know that might be relevant?

Edit; I got a second email saying the application was denied, and then got a moment to call and confirm there was nothing open in my name. Crisis averted!
