Zero sympathy for overweight males

They don’t have hormonal issues, PCOS, endometriosis, go through menopause, go through pregnancy or give birth. Zero excuses for a man to be flabby and overweight.

Evil eye is so real

Just tied on an evil eye bracelet I had laying around that my homegirl gave me from Egypt (she’s Egyptian). The last falling out I had with a girlfriend I strongly believe had a lot to do with her jealousy and envy towards me. I have no social media and I keep quiet about EVERYTHING now. I trust no one. People are too malicious these days. I have too much to lose to let people with ill intentions in.

I feel like I can’t please anyone

My class is too hard. It’s not hard enough. They don’t like my music. My voice. My teaching style. My sequences. People leaving mid-class, students not returning. No acknowledgement, not a thank you, not even a “hello.” Hours spent planning a class that falls flat. Feeling like I almost have to coddle people with every single modification. The room is too hot, not hot enough. They want hands-on assists, they don’t want to be touched. I’m exhausted trying to keep up with the demands of each person who walks into the studio. I’m burnt out. I think it’s time to quit.

Aspiring to be a WAG is so fucking pathetic

Lmao at these birds. So desperate to bag a cheating ass unfaithful athlete just for the $ and status. I’ve never respected WAGs and always thought they were fucking losers like the men they choose to get knocked up by.

I want to quit for long enough to fully detox cannabis from my system but I do NOT want to quit for good

I once quit smoking weed for 3 months, the longest I’ve ever gone since I began smoking 20 years ago.

When I smoked for the first time after that period of abstinence, I felt complete mental clarity. I realized how stupid all of these huge problems I thought I had were. My body’s chemical makeup invites cannabis and benefits from it. No doubt. Cannabis has saved my life in many ways.

However, I’m at a place currently where I cannot even get a buzz. Doesn’t matter how much I smoke or how many mg of edibles I eat. I either feel nothing or just tired.

I want to abstain until THC is fully out of my system again. I miss being high, so, so much. I miss that altered state of mind. I’m thinking of buying home THC drug tests to track my progress.

It’s even harder to quit living in a legal US state, outside of a large city with several dispensaries within a 3-mile radius of my home.

How do I start? I smoke spliffs from the moment I wake up in the morning to the moment I go to sleep. Nicotine is tied up in this addiction as well. I threw away my bong and only smoke those now, which has helped me cut down a little, but I still don’t know a single person in real life that smokes more than me.

Ariana’s new album

Been a huge fan ever since Sweetener. You cannot deny this woman’s vocal talent. I’ve connected to her music emotionally, especially songs from that album, thank u next, and positions. I’m a BPD girlie myself (she’s definitely got it) and her lyrics in the past have resonated with me. I’m 3 years older than her.

Listening to petal right now. Is every song about her being a celebrity and how much she hates her fans and how hard it is to be her, or toxic relationships/breakups? I’m having trouble finding anything to relate to in these lyrics.

I’m also in one of the healthiest phases and relationships of my life right now while she seems to be sicker and more dysfunctional than ever. Makes me so sad, but I don’t think I can relate to her music anymore.

I thought this sub supported moderation?

and harm reduction.

Literally the first line of this sub’s description:

“Dry Alcoholics is a support group that doesn’t care about what stage you are in quitting or moderating your drinking, but that you are making an effort.”

Every time I post here about trying to moderate I get hit with an influx of people telling me that it’s not possible, I’m going to end up at rock bottom, etc. etc. if I don’t practice total and complete abstinence.

I believe that alcoholism and addiction are a spectrum: you have those people that occasionally drink a little too much to the other extreme of someone having a single drop of alcohol and then ending up smoking crack or doing fentanyl or whatever.

I used to drink hard liquor all day, then I cut down to wine, and now if I drink, I drink 4.4% ABV Pacifico beer. I never drink more than a 6-pack a day now. I am MILES ahead of where I used to be, and I’m damn proud of it.

I used to regularly black out and piss myself while drunk; I haven’t done either in over a year now, since I began to cut down.

Am I perfect? No. Am I sober? No, and I don’t want to be. I’ve been in rehab, I’ve gone to more AA meetings than I can count. Sobriety, complete abstinence, is not for me. Full stop.

Why can’t some people respect this? Moderation is NOT a one-size-fits-all solution, but IT’S WORKING FOR ME. I’m healthy, I have a fantastic diet, I stay hydrated, and I exercise more than the average person. I’m my ideal weight.

Would I like to cut down even more? Of course, I’m working on a period of full sobriety—at least one month. I know myself well enough into my mid-30s (been drinking since 16) to know that a full stop is a recipe for disaster.

This is NOT advice. I’m simply stating what’s been working for me, but I don’t feel as if this is a safe space for me anymore to discuss moderation.
