forgot how bad she was in season 7 with all this “don’t hit me up as your emergency contact” “pay your way in this house or get out” like girl come on 😭😭. i know she goes full capitalist when she owns the apartments but i thought i had one more season before fiona’s character assassination 🥲. she’s so unbearable in her last seasons and whilst she has every reason to be selfish (she’s given up sooo much for her family without being asked to), this is exactly why the judge asked her if she was sure she’d be okay being a guardian; the itch to make a name for yourself was always going to throb, it was always about was she willing to put her family first the way she was supposed to as a guardian? before s6 she was but after that? yeah i really don’t remember her being this like this during my first watch

has anyone dealt with disordered eating surrounding their cptsd? i’ve always had disordered eating from a young age and because of that, i’ve relatively stayed the same weight for most of my life. my thing is, i don’t want to consider it an ED because when i nourish my body i’m not thinking in absolutes of calories and fat. i legitimately have zero idea how much calories are in food because i’m not focused on that.

my disordered eating started around the same time i dealt with a long term anxiety spiral (12), the first time anxiety caused vasoconstriction in my digestive system causing me to to ignore my hunger but focus on the more pressing issue at hand; my anxiety. i’ve been off ssri’s/snri’s for the lastish year and for the life of me it is sooo hard to eat if there’s no medication prompting that hunger. not because i don’t have the energy, the will, or the clue on what to make… it’s just so overwhelming… no one understands this and in a world of ozempic and fad dieting it seems like i fit in and are allowing societal’s rules to dictate me, but i’ve had days where i’ve been soooo hungry and i’ve postponed making something (even something as simple as peeling a fruit) and eventually getting to a point where i’m only eating one meal per day.

i recognise this isn’t healthy but i really do try to hit my macros with the meal i eat (eg; i’ll eat brown rice over white rice because it packs more fibre then i’ll couple it with a high fibre veggie like cooked kale and a high protein like salmon/chicken) but when neurotypicals casually mention my body size/shape i get freaked out because i am *not* trying to starve myself but that it takes me a lot do effort to just do, to just *function*. anyone else feel like this 😢, especially if you’re a woman/feminine presenting?

doing a third rewatch of the show, and noticed a plot hole-ish? when liam is about to be discharged, the social worker notes how awful frank looks and recognises that their guardian (fiona) is facing legal troubles. she even mentions a possible dfs visit because she recognises liam is going back to home with a possible felon and a parent close to deaths door. all of that, plus the call frank made the season before would have put the gallaghers high on the departments radar… so how is it not dumb to have lip have carl and liam stay over with him at school? like i find it hard to believe that an ra would just allow him to bring his brothers in, and even if they did most people would want to call cps. in fact, lip’s manager that was such an asshole to him last season is even okay with liam in the kitchen! but i’m thinking of the optics; an 18/19 year old boy carrying his 3 year old brother around all the time? i fail to see how the adults in his life didn’t recognise this as odd/strange. it just is. also… leave of absence was right there lmao

i’m on s8 right now and the really was no way out for carlos after doing what he did at the end of season 7. he was in between a rock and a hard place. there’s no way they wouldn’t have thrown him under the jail if they called the cops, especially because he’s still on parole and has been arrested twice for hate crimes. likewise, going on with your life after killing someone - even if it’s someone that’s objectively evil like alejandro - is unlikely to happen because of the guilt that comes with taking a life *then* hiding the body. they killed carlos’ character the minute they put him in that impossible situation. honestly i feel like they didn’t know what to do with carlos after his blind storyline

can someone explain to me why bree is so loved on this sub? compared to every other housewife, her faults her smoothed over. with susan, people hated how ditzy she was, always needing a man to save her. gaby had a selfish streak that often colored her as superficial, lynette had to be in control and wouldn’t allow anyone else to take the drivers seat… every housewife has had their faults and within reason it’s discussed on this sub. yet when it comes to bree and her actions it’s not talked about as often.

like i think most people have a measured view of the characters. like for example, i hate tom scavo, but i can recognise when lynette is unfair to him. mike too! and he’s as flavourful as a cup of flour! but even then i’ve taken his side over susan, heck even carlos i defended because gaby gets him in trouble more often than not, but what is it about bree and this sub where her faults aren’t picked apart as much as others?

i’m on my third rewatch and everything people love about her character doesn’t make sense. her whole relationship with andrew is toxic and if it was any other desperate housewife mom (like gaby) we would be saying that andrew is a product of his environment yet i barely see that same energy brought to him that’s usually brought to juanita and gaby. even hiding the fact that andrew hit carlos’ mom!

i’ve gone through the sub, searched about lynette, gaby, susan and bree and by and large bree is allowed excuses that the other moms weren’t allowed to have even when warranted! is it that most fans are attracted to marcia cross so it’s easier to overlook her characters flaws? because im not going to lie, some the things i see about susan? very disproportionate to her actions compared to the things bree is allowed to get away with
