Does anyone else get like this about at least one NPC every season?

Does anyone else get like this about at least one NPC every season?

I feel slightly less ridiculous because the cast seems to have at least one pet NPC every season too.

Shirtless man sexily assembling furniture?

I'm pretty sure this is a recent (last 2-3 years) piece of media, but what I remember is a scene where, following some kind of misfortune, characters have split apart. One of them has moved into a new apartment and is watching one or more shirtless guys assemble their IKEA-style furniture. Another character comes in and has a, "Seriously?" kind of reaction. I think the other friend says something like if they want to have a seat, [guy] can put a chair together.

I have no idea what this was, but it's lingering in my mind and I feel like I watched it within the last year or so.

I do NOT remember the gender of the characters, unfortunately.

The real crimes were the friends we made along the way (but also kidnapping and petty theft and misuse of explosives)

Hints: It’s a comedy and the kidnapping takes place before the movie begins

Deranged game of Ring Around the Rosie where the moral of the story lands somewhere between “nice guys finish last” and “hell is other people”

Saved this little guy from a dog. Grabbed a couple of quick pics to ID. Any ideas?

Southern France. Looks like a juvenile something and he could both swim and fly. Last photo is blurry, but you can see his creepy little feet. Super comfortable in water and I assumed duck at first, until I got closer.

He was okay! I scooped him up just long enough to shoo the dog and then set him down and he swam away.

Is there a historical precedent for a technological advancement causing a massive backslide in basic skills?

Inspired by this conversation about Gen Alpha’s reliance on AI and screens and teachers’ experiences of their declining literacy. Has this happened before? I’m struggling to think of any historical precedent where a technological or social sea change resulted in (seemingly) widespread abandonment of skills like literacy or critical reasoning, but I’m hoping there is one.
