Why are older sealed booster boxes worth more than top chases?

I'm not a large sealed collector, I mostly have sealed products of stuff I can find at MSRP to trade into singles. I've seen plenty of creators opening up sealed products chasing hits that are worth less than the sealed products themselves. How has the market gotten this far out of balance? The only way to recoup value opening older sealed products is to pull a top chase AND THEN have it grade high (sometimes only as a 10). Those percentages seem so low I don't understand the value.

Example: Burning Shadows:

\- Single booster box: $1200

\- Top chase: Charizard GX 150: \~$600 raw / PSA 10 $7400

\- Second Highest: Fairy Energy (Secret) - $88 raw / PSA 10 $500

\- Pull Rates: idk pullrates.com says 1-75 for a RR

\- Gem rate Charizard: 12%

\- Overall odds: less than 1%

With this rip & ship economy and the larger creators constantly opening older sets I get we're going to hit a supply shortage, but even then the premium vs buying the top chase in a high grade still seems not worth it.

So I continue to question how prices are this high? What am I missing in the value of older sets?

Debating about Luba 3 1500 vs Roborock X1 LiDAR

I've got a .33 acre lawn with a fairly open flat front yard, but a heavily shaded rear lawn with a larger slope from a walk out basement. I've never had a robo mower and am not sure what to look for, it feels like with pets/kids and heavy tree covering LiDAR will be helpful. I'd like to avoid the installation of RTK antenna. My other issue is we have a chain link fence for the dogs, will it be annoying to open the gate every few days for the mower? How do others manage robotic mowers with fences?

Do people get two smaller units vs 1 larger? If so would you recommend waiting for the Luba mini 2?

Descrepency buying & selling graded cards

I'm a collector first, but I've tried selling a few cards to pay for new things I want. The experience I've had however is always losing a large % when trying to sell cards (trade shows, eBay, Facebook marketplace, etc), but I've never been able to buy cards on a discount at shows or FB even though that's how I'm treated as a seller. It feels like I always pay full price but sell at a discount... Is this the norm or only because I'm such a low volume seller?

Every card I've ever listed I've only gotten offers under 80%. I'm not trying to make money, but it feels like as both the buyer and seller I'm the sucker 🤣

Sceptical Whatnot stream purchase

I unfortunately was on a whatnot stream that looked pretty legit late one night and bought the Stellar Crown Squirtle to complete my starter trio. It was a decent price ($90). Only afterwards did I notice the streamer had stronger reviews, but all from 2024. Now I'm sceptical of this is a fake card or not. Looks good to me, but I wanted a second opinion given the concerns with the streamer.

Front centering looks good, but back is obviously left/bottom heavy. Otherwise a clean copy IMO 🤞

Unfinished ribs hot hold before finishing again on grill?

I started some ribs this morning with a cold smoke on a Kamado to get added smoke flavor. I've run out of time to finish properly and need to step away for 3h. I was thinking of wrapping and throwing them in the oven at 150 until I return and then back on the grill for a bark and to finish them up to temp.

AI has me nervous this will hold them in the "danger zone" for too long and I should instead put them in the fridge and cook again when I return. What is y'all's thoughts? Hot hold in oven for 3h or fridge and cook hot & fast when I return? I'll be back at 1pm and want to eat between 5-6pm.

Thanks!

Mold in Kamado, Grates, Ceramic Plates, & Slo Roller

So I went to break out the Kamado for the season and low and behold I didn't clean it properly after my last cook of 2025. I opened the dome to a moldy mess! I normally do a fair amount of winter cooking still and probably just thought I'd get to it next cook... 🫣

So I'm in the process of ordering a replacement gasket and doing a hot burn for a few hours (600°+). I've heard after that you should try and brush the dome and parts, but not to use any chemical cleaners. Would you advise bringing in the grates and ceramic plates to hand wash,?

Also I have no idea what to do with the SloRoller system as it can't handle a high heat cook like that. Please help me get back my smoker.
