hi!! i just got fired from my job after my coworkers were bringing attention to my manager that two boys on the team were bullying me. she is holding my check for a couple weeks, i am requesting $100 for groceries and pet food until my manager releases my check... if anyone is willing to help 🥺, TIA
i say this with love in my heart but it is strange seeing simmers compare paralives to the Sims saying the game is empty or any other complaints. i don't think an indie game that only has a small team for the game that JUST came out for EARLY ACCESS compared to huge corp ea that has had the Sims franchise for Years. Of course the game isn't going to have all of the features the devs want, but the game does have more heart and fun moments than the sims 4 base game and the current state of the game. yes the price point can be eh for people but i think the para price which includes free dlc and roadmaps of all of the updates they would like to add. it is weird seeing the price comparison from people who have all or even some of the sims dlc.. all this to say i think money for an early release game with free updates from a small team of game developers not attached to a big corporation like ea is worth supporting if you are interested in the game. if not, no one is saying you have to buy the game but i think simmers standards are unfair when it comes to the comparisons and thoughts on the state of the game and i hope more people will be more open minded instead of just bashing the para devs.
EDIT: TY for the award :O i appreciate the discussion on everyone's side of this take!! i understand $40 isn't something everyone can justify on an unfinished game but i would like to see that without the sims comparison and just being ok that maybe the game isn't for you at this point in development! but of course criticism of the game is not a bad thing!!
2ND EDIT: as this post gets more discussion i want to say i dont think the convo should come to the conclusion of someone being "broke" or any finance shaming just bc of differing opinion. i am happy about the discussion around this and am so happy getting feedback and different opinions and connecting with the community as i typically dont post on reddit so ^_^ i'm sorry if my tone seems bleh in comments but i value what everyone has replied with so far!!!
