First yr student here. Ask ko lang how do you guys study in advance for subjects na binibigay naman syllabus, however, walang recommended readings or reading list? This prof told us not to worry about the lectures kasi he's going to discuss it naman daw pero I just would like to prepare in advance kasi I really want to do well now that I'm in UP, and also it boosts my confidence in class.

I know that we're not supposed to be spoonfed, and that we're responsible for our own studies. Pero kasi when I try to research on my own solely based on the title of the topic, e.g. Theory of X, wala pala dun yung idi-discuss in class so I end up clueless most of the time pa rin. Thanks sa mga sasagot. Pls be nice.

we had our lunch in this restau sa maginhawa, and IT WAS RLLY GOOD!!! i consider the food super sulit for both the quality and quantity. esp i never expected na mayroong ganung kamurang restau sa qc. and also the service was good. the waiters were hands on and nice. however, na-weirduhan lang talaga ko sa amoy nung pizza nila 😭😭😭 AMOY likido ng lalaki i swear 😭. and yung di kaaya-ayang amoy for me (my mom told us na it smelled good) didn't translate naman sa lasa ng food, in fact, it was good. LIKE OMG nilayo ko talaga yung pizza sa table 😭

NOTE: if u know what im talking abt, pls don't mention the restau cuz i don't wanna tarnish their name. as i've said mahusay ang service nila. it's just that i got weirded out by the smell na di naman big deal for me. also didn't mention what the pizza was called becuz that might give hints.

di ko alam (alam ko) kung bakit pinipilit ko sarili ko na makapasok sa UP. i failed the upcat. and now i'm trying to transfer as T2. passed the exam, but absolutely fucked up the interview. it's over, and i want to say it's okay pero i can't surmount the pain, at least for now.

failing the upcat was my biggest heartbreak. and once again, another failure impends. para kong naghahabol sa isang taong never naman akong minahal.

gusto ko lang naman ng edukasyon at environment na kagaya ng UP: classroom discussions where national issues oozes through; theory-heavy and research-centric educ system; competitive academic environment; and critical and analytic thinkers.

hindi madaling hanapin yan. kahit ingudngod ko sarili ko sa library (probably, iyan isu-suggest ng iba) para magbasa ng marxism, etc., hindi ko rin magagamit sa classroom. instead, i'll be stuck in my desk memorizing terms and definitions by rote for my exam. 💀✌🏾

Hello! Baka po may nakakaalam sa inyo kung saan makakabili ng Makinasyon at Iba pang Tula ni Rio Alma.

2 months ago, napagkwentuhan namin ng prof ko ang patungkol sa Philippine history, communists, etc. and I asked her about which body of literatures I could read to expand my knowledge regarding these, and she recommended Makinasyon by Rio Alma, pati Peregrinasyon. However, I am having a hard time looking for its copies, mapa-print or pdf, wala.

Baka meron din kayo copy, kahit super luma, as long as readable hehe willing ako bilhin as long as di mahal huhu. Gusto ko lang talaga magbasa ng PH lit these days. (Mej nababagalan ako sa pacing ng The Count of Monte Cristo lately.) TY!

Hello. I've scoured through the search bar pero mostly 1-2 years ago na, and hindi na siguro applicable yung budget advice given the oil price hikes.

Gusto ko mag-solo beach travel within Luzon lang na maganda at hindi crowded pero affordable. 7-10k budget all-in na. Target stay is 3-5 days. Mas I'm from Manila btw. Exclude sana LU since napuntahan ko na hehe. Pahingi naman pong suggestions. 🥺

Gusto ko sana mag-Zambales dun sa Nagsasa Coves kasi mura raw (sabi dito sa Reddit), pero when I checked sa YT vlogs jusko sobrang mahal ng accomm.
