Me (20M), girlfriend (20F), together for a while. Tonight she was at a house party for her best friend's (22F) birthday girls' night, drinking, dancing, everyone having fun.

Around midnight she video called me to show me the party. Everyone's laughing, having a good time.

Then out of nowhere she kisses her best friend on the cheek, and then kisses her on the lips not a quick peck, an actual kiss, twice. She did this while on a call with me watching.

It wasn't hidden other people were right there, nothing secretive about it. But it still caught me completely off guard, especially since I was watching it happen live.

Here's the part that's really bothering me: a while back I asked her directly if a guy kissed another guy while in a relationship, would that be considered cheating? She said yes. But she also said it would be embarrassing for a girl to tell people her boyfriend cheated with a guy. So by her own standard, this should count. But now that it's her doing something similar with another girl, I'm getting the sense the "rules" feel different to her depending on who's involved.

I don't know if I'm overreacting or if this is a legitimate reason to be upset. Is this normal "close friends having fun at a party" behavior, or is this something I should bring up as a real problem in my relationship? Has anyone dealt with something similar? How did you approach the conversation with your partner?

Then out of nowhere, she gives her best friend a kiss on the cheek and then kisses her on the lips. Not a peck by accident an actual and I was shocked.

I don't really know what to think right now. Is this just "party stuff" that happens between close friends when everyone's drinking and hyped up or is this something I should be genuinely upset about? Would this be considered cheating in your eyes or am I overreacting?

Some context: they're both girls, it was in a group setting with other people around, not hidden or secretive. But it still caught me off guard since she did it on a call with me watching.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How would you handle this conversation with your partner?
