Change is a part of life but I can’t help to miss the old F9 Jinnah avenue with the 2 lane road and the green roundabout.
Nowadays it’s kind of stressful to drive there with four lanes especially with the increasing number of idiots.
Which one do you prefer? And if given the option would you keep the old one or the new one?
Both pictures are from daman-e-koh. First one is from around 2012 and the second one i found on Reddit. Same location but different color lights. The small strip of yellow lights in the second picture has also been replaced by LED’s.
For me the yellow lights look better cuz yes nostalgia but the just look better at night and they were easy on the eyes too. Less strain compared to the new LED white’s. They still make the yellow/amber lights in LED but for some reason they just don’t use them. There slightly more energy efficient too.
What do others think about this? Are u fine with white or do prefer the old yellow?
Would it be possible to retrofit one of those old double din CD players in place of the screen in the first gen?
PakWheels forums is full of old gems but lately it’s a bit dead. It would be great if people from here would start being active on there.
Also, seeing how PakWheels is up for sale, the potential buyers could potentially pull the plug on the forums if it doesn’t have enough users. That would be a sad day for Pakistani car culture an knowledge. Yea the UI is a bit dated and there’s a tiny learning curve, but the amount of Pakistani street history, among other things saved there is amazing.
So. Make an account and try to be as active there as you can. Even if it’s a simple meme or a picture of your ride. 😃
Kinda wish it stayed like this forever
