Jingran and Qingxiao comparison

I know some people are feeling unsure about who to pull with 2 damage dealers releasing in the same update so I wanted to make this to help yall out. I've also seen some doomposting around both of them and misinformation about their kits and how they perform so here's the facts, according to the current calcs.

The main thing though is to pull who you like and who you want. If getting a character will make you happy, go for it. Don't let this discourage you if you've already made a decision to pull for your favorite.

All credit for the calc screenshots used goes to ChemX32 and Blackclears, thanks so much for the work you guys do πŸ™

10 more days left until 3.6 so everybody pray that Jingran won't be nerfed in that time

He's currently the second strongest DPS in the game with some of the strongest sequences too, only behind Yangyang double feather. Please Kuro just leave it like this I'm begging πŸ˜πŸ™ I'll pay money for it too.

Will V3 come out before or after the livestream?

I'm so excited for the upcoming livestream but unfortunately won't be able to watch it until much later since I have to do something. Is there any chance that we'll see V3 earlier?

Current plan as a Sparxie puller for Silverwolf?

I'm curious what everybody else here is planning to do with Sparxie being powercrept by Aventurine and (especially) Robin SP.

Personally, I'm not gonna pull anybody to replace Sparxie until after Nihilux comes out. Things are too uncertain right now so I'd much rather wait and see than end up pulling a new character only for them to immediately get powercrept as a Silverwolf support or for Sparxie to get an indirect buff with Pearl or Nihilux.

I'll be pulling Pearl though, and if Sparxie stays 3rd best or goes to 4th best for Silverwolf after Nihilux I'll consider making a second team to use her on as a DPS since it feels like such a waste to just drop her.

Also I know I'm stupid for pulling Sparxie before Silverwolf but I just really thought she'd stay BIS since Hoyo loves making set teams and also because Silverwolf's loot box mechanic is literally made specifically for Sparxie.

Should I pull Aventurine or Robin for Silverwolf?

I already have E0 S1 Sparxie but I'm seeing so much stuff now about how she sucks and that Aventurine and Robin are better. Is that true? It feels like a waste though to replace Sparxie just a few patches after release when there's no other team for her... Although I guess I could run her as a DPS with Sparkle and EMC.

The main reason I'm asking is because my Silverwolf is E0 S1 and my Yaoguang is E0 S1 too but I just barely managed to clear the new Pure Fiction (second node) with a full E0 S1 Elation team. Do I just suck? I know Pure Fiction isn't a good endgame for Silverwolf but I feel like she should still be performing better, I was just a few AV away from not getting max points.

I'm also pretty sure my builds are fine. (200 speed Yaoguang, 193 speed SW999 with 130 crit damage and 82 crit rate, 142 speed Sparxie with 200 crit damage and 78 crit rate)

Anyway, I'd really appreciate some advice. I do like Sparxie but I mainly pulled her for Silverwolf back in 4.0. If I'd known Aventurine would slot into her team better I'd have waited to pull for him instead since I prefer him as a character.

Update on the status of handholding in the offical beta test

I did notice the animation of holding Rex's hand looked very unfinished and janky so hopefully they are just polishing the animation and it'll be there for the next beta test and launch.

If anybody is playing the beta with the female MC and has Rex, I would be really curious to see if you can handhold there πŸ™ Hopefully this isn't going to be another NTE situation.

Are there any showcases yet of WAventurine with MBlade, Tribbie, Hyacine?

I don't have Ashveil and I kind of want to see if I can get away with not pulling him lol 😭 Is he absolutely necessary rn even if I have E2 MBlade and E1 Tribbie?

This better not be true

Trust me guys, Mr Reca will be playable in 4.6 or 4.7 as a Remembrance sustain meant for the AshBlade team! The voices have whispered it to me in my dreams

I love how they handled Suisui as a character

Suisui getting a focus in the story without Rover present really allowed her character to shine. She got the artifact from Hsin all by herself (well, with Jingran helping a little so she could find her way), literally made a bet with a Sentinel, earned Hsin's respect, and won. She's intelligent, cunning, and so "proper lady" like, but she's also kind and quite silly when she feels comfortable. (I love Dumpling and her idle animation so much.)

It's so obvious how much she loves Yangyang too and seeing her fussing over her like an overbearing big sister was really adorable. It's great to see characters having such a close relationship with eachother portrayed on screen, I really hope we get more stuff like it in the future.

I also thought her relationship with Rover was unique and well handled. She's obviously aware of Yangyang's feelings for them and was low key wingmaning for her little sister. The whole quest felt like a big sister deciding if her little sister's crush was worthy of being accepted into the family.

Her flirting with Rover didn't really feel romantic either since it was pretty much the same exact way she teases Yangyang (calling them dear, darling, dearest, getting up close, jokingly flirting, etc), which I really enjoyed. It would feel a little strange in my opinion and be out of character for her to actually be trying to "compete" with her little sister for her crush so I'm very happy that they didn't take that route but still gave us some fanservice. (Suisui had me blushing low-key.)

The conversation between her and Rover at the end really felt like her way of accepting them into the family after deciding they were good enough for her little sis, especially since she encourages Yangyang to confess to them after.

Suisui is literally the beautiful, rich, resourceful auntie who always gives the best gifts at gatherings and tells funny family story's that embarrass everyone 😭 I love her so much.

Do yall think we're going to stay in Xuanfang after 3.5 or will we actually go to Mengzhou?

Maybe a dumb question but we've been hearing so much about Mengzhou only to not actually go there and I can't help but feel a bit dissapointed. It's like we're going to a cool place but then just stopping at the entrance and leaving without getting to see the whole thing.

Also, it feels like a shame to get Hsin playable without actually getting to go to the main part of the region she presides over... Is there any chance that we head to the capital city in 3.6 or 3.7?

Especially since leakers have been saying that >!we're going to the New Federation in 4.0. If we don't go to Mengzhou now, it'll be a while before we get the chance to.!<

For the people worried that his model looks weird, here's a better closeup

He dosen't actually look silly, I think the angle was just distorting his appearance 😭 (like how Hsin's chest looked way bigger than it is in some of the renders)

u/warm_fr1dge β€” 1 month ago

I'm actually so upset

I can't believe they decided to make Aventurine and Robin's SP versions glorified summer skins. They could have given them character development and a cool design but no, they chose to do just plain fanservice instead.

He looks great don't get me wrong, but not as his base outfit. He's going to look so out of place on his best team. πŸ’” I hate Hoyoverse

So Suisui's hairpin is an accessory even though it appeared in her marketing?

First pic is her marketing, second pic is her model with the accessory, and third pic is her model without it. If you look at the gameplay showcases you can see most don't have the hairpin too.

I hope it's free because it feels incomplete without the hairpin and it would be stupid to make people pay for something that should just be on the base model, especially when that's how she is being marketed.

How many Trailblaze Companions does Himeko need?

Since Himeko Nova herself counts as 1 Trailblaze companion, can you use her on a team with only one other Express member? Or do you need 2 Express members other than herself?

Asking because I really want to use her with my E2S1 MBlade but I'm not sure if it's viable. Would Himeko, MBlade, Sunday, Hyacine work? Or do I have to use Dan Heng PT for the sustain which might block me from using MBlade since he wants a healer? I do have his lightcone but I'm not sure if the healing from it is enough for MBlade.

I feel like people over exaggerate how bad Qiuyuan's Forte getting interrupted is

It's definitely annoying when it happens but I feel like it doesn't happen as much as people act like it does. Like, out of every 10 Qiuyuan endgame runs he gets interrupted in maybe 2 of them. He moves around so much during the animation and he's in the air for such a large portion of it that most enemies can't even hit him anyway. It's not that hard to avoid either, just don't use it when you know an enemy that can actually hit him is right about to attack.

Also, when he does get interrupted, you can just do it over again right away. It's a bit messed up because you can't do the full Forte string anymore but it dosen't ruin the entire run. It's not really much more annoying than getting knocked back with any other character in endgame is.

Like, I've seen people say they didn't pull for him just because his Forte getting interrupted is too annoying or saying that he needs his S1 which doesn't make any sense to me. I've had him at S0 R1 since he came out and I've used him in pretty much every endgame reset since with Phrolova and Cantarella and I really don't feel like it's THAT big of a problem. 😭

It's way worse for characters like Brant or Camellya who actually can't use the attack anymore if it gets interrupted, or who are standing still so more enemies are actually able to hit them.
