As I left Angel Stadium last night, I was checking out their wall of fame and caught eyes with a guy carrying a stack of papers. He asked me “You want this? Your team won so you should have this.” Turned out to be the media notes! There’s a ridiculous amount of information in the packets. The Royals’ is 8 pages but the Angels’ is 17! I also got rosters, with a list of transactions on the back side of the Royals’, and a blank score sheet (not pictured).
Ran across this on FB just now. Anyone want to wildly speculate about this one? Lol
SDC's social media posted a video of Dr. Horatio Harris, the fictional inventor at the heart of Wildfire's theming/backstory, tinkering with the big vat of his "Wildfire" fuel in the queue for the ride with the caption "Should we reveal his latest invention?"
The actor who plays the character, Terry Wayne Sanders, has also posted a few videos on his Facebook page recently teasing a big announcement related to the coaster.
SDC has a long history of trolling fans on social media with "big announcements" that turn out to be completely mundane, like the O'Reilly Auto Parts sponsorship on their shuttle buses last year. However, I'm still very intrigued to find out what it could be.
Wildfire is directly next to the new Mack coaster, which should be officially revealed next month--SDC has unveiled their last 3 rides in August the season before after first teasing them in February, so I assume the new coaster will follow that same pattern--so I wonder if it's related to that. Wildfire has been getting a little rough in its old age, so I'm personally hoping they're going to announce some track work in the offseason.
I'm planning to make my first visit to Dodger Stadium to watch my Royals play on Wed 8/12. When looking at tickets, I noticed that they're significantly more expensive than the Mon and Tues games.
On the official site the cheapest tickets are $66 on Mon, $47 on Tues, and then jump all the way to $82 on Wednesday! On StubHub, the breakdown is 56/55/93 (!!!); on Gametime, it's 53/52/89; and on TickPick, it's 50/44/84.
Can anyone help me understand why this game is so much more expensive? As far as I can tell, there are no special events or anything going on. In fact, there's a giveaway on Monday and a theme night on Tuesday which makes it even more confusing. The game is too far out for people to be planning around an Ohtani start or something. Plus in general no one should be paying nearly a hundred bucks to watch this sorry ass Royals team lmao.
Anyone know what gives here, and is there any chance the prices will drop into a more reasonable range?
Got some nice shots of Patriot, Timber Wolf (which is open btw!), and Mamba during the BTS tour this morning. The last shot is two pieces of Prowler track I won at the auction during lunch!
