Best small nails!?

Hi all! Sorry that this has probably already been discussed here, I’m just new to this sub : )

What would you guys say is the best brand for small nails (like width of the actual nail)!? I also like extra short length….i know I’m super boring lol I just have a toddler so anything mildly long is impractical. TIA!!!! Retail brand: none.

Baby nurse/nanny?

Hi everyone! So sorry if this has been posted here recently, I just moved to the area.

I am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a baby nurse/nanny? I am due with our second child in November, and since it will be another c section I am concerned about the recovery with a toddler. Toddler will be 22 months at the time.

Therefore, I am likely looking for someone who has experience in newborn care and nannying. Would provide care to one child at a time to just assist while I recover. After that, would be interested in weekly nannying (occasional hours while parents work), so would be great if just one person checks these boxes.

Thank you for your help!!!

Anyone else’s nmom ruin some of their biggest life events?

I’m talking aside from possibly childhood as a whole LOL (sorry, humor is what gets me through) like monumental life events that fractured an already messed up relationship beyond repair?

For me, looking back about 10 years now, I think how my mom behaved during my wedding and when I was in nursing school really were the final straws (these events were within 2 years of one another). I am a second degree nurse so I was a full on functioning/independent adult, already out of the house and paying my own way through, just trying to get by one of the most challenging time periods of my life and I cannot tell you how much harder my mom made it for me. All about her feelings and what she needed from me, with zero consideration of what I might have been experiencing.

No need for more details because everyone here will get the sentiment, but I am just curious if other people’s mom’s behavior really ruined adult-related important life events for them!

In Need of Boxes Please!

Anyone have any boxes (either still assembled, or broken down/can be reassembled) they are trying to get rid of, or know someone or somewhere that does?? TIA!

Yes I know I can pay for boxes at Home Depot or similar places, but I believe the amount of boxes I need for my move is something that could be achieved for free. Just looking for someone to pay it forward. Thanks again!

The only one who needs to change is us

And that’s what kills me about having a nparent. My nmom is in her 70s and has been doing this same shit since I was a child, so after years and years, she isn’t going to change. I have long accepted that. I am not new to this game.

Therefore, if your parent is like mine and never going to change, the only person who needs to change is us. How we handle it. I for sure support you got to do what you got to do, but what I hate about gray rock is that it still puts too much pressure on us. Always remain calm, never give them anything. Let them say whatever they want, like they always do.

I am past acceptance and am no contact the majority of the time (I’ve gone years without speaking to her). Just ranting because that’s what most gets me about this. It’s ALWAYS on us.

Anyone else’s nmom take great pleasure in saying “my” in front of your name???

For years my mom has loved to say to me, for example, “hello my Sarah”; not my name, but where Sarah is you would insert my real.

“Hello my Smith family”; not my real last name, but where Smith is you would insert my husband’s last name, and this is would be a text she would send to both my husband and I (I have been married for 9 years and am in my mid thirties…..)

“My granddaughter is most important”, referring to my daughter. Instead of just using her name.

Perhaps if she were a normal mother this could be a term of endearment, but it absolutely makes mine and my husband’s skin crawl. I am no contact with her about 90% of the time, so to come out of the woodwork the few times we do speak and all the sudden it’s MY granddaughter is absolutely mind boggling.

Just curious if anyone experiences this too.

Kyle voice….reality TV should be dramatic!

Ya’ll are crazy for threatening to boycott, refusing to watch, and giving demanding ultimatums about the Amanda and West situationship (lol). Reality TV should be dramatic and they’re really giving us the content!!!

If you want people fired from the show for giving it an extra juicy story line, maybe the Discovery channel is more your speed.
