Gal Surf Shop?

Anyone else confused with Gal’s surf shop? He kept calling it his on the show, but looks like his ex girlfriend and him started it together.

But then on the tik tok page for the free coffee for people named Jen it says they are entirely owned and operated by women?

He is such a side character, but the Aftersun had me curious. Lol!

Doberman mixed with what?

We know she’s a doberman, but trying to figure out what she’s mixed with. We weren’t sure about the white patch but now I’m thinking she’s mixed with a german shorthair pointer because her prey drive is sooooo high. She does the classic point pose too. Velcro dog, super docile and gentle. Obviously going to the DNA test soon.

What do you think?

Nannies/Parents: How Do You Handle Constant “I Don’t Want To”

Hi, I am a female 24-year-old nanny for a new family this summer. It’s going wonderfully. I am an elementary teacher during the school year. My care primarily is for the one and a half year-old, but sometimes I get the older sister 3.5, sometimes it’s both. I teach second grade, so this has been a really fun age to work with.

Anyway, I’m looking for advice because the 3 1/2 year-old seems to just battle everything I ask of her and I know that mom has the same issue. Things like washing her hands, putting on shoes to go outside, eating lunch. Always “I don’t want toooooo” We use a lot of language like “Let’s practice listening the first time” “It is not a choice” But it is always a battle. I am wondering if there is a better strategy to do things. Like help her build that routine that when we get home; we need to wash our hands. It’s almost like I don’t want to ask anymore because I don’t want to get into an argument or negotiation with a toddler. Do I need to be more firm? “You are washing your hands now”? Ah idk.

Also, she doesn’t nap anymore but I put the youngest one down at 1 pm and she gets the choice either to play or like join us for nap time. It ends up with a lot of interrupting and her changing her mind etc. Would there be a better way to incorporate some routine? Like maybe she gets a 30 minute timer to do quiet time in her room? I know at my school the Pre K kids do “rest time” and some of them don’t even take a nap, just lay down and rest. Maybe being more routine on that.

Any other background information, they get very limited screen time, we play outside most of the day.

Just looking for some ideas! Thanks!!😊

Nanny pay rate for extra kids over?

Hey everyone, I just started with a new family and it’s been great but it’s always that awkward stage at the beginning with pay. I get paid 22 hr for one kid and when it’s both kids 25. Well they are having some people over and it’s actually 2 more kids, the same age as mine. So 4 kids in total. My friend is going to come over and help with the bed time routine. I asked them what would the pay range be for this extra person and she said “whatever their rate is!” soooo I feel super stuck because I don’t know where to start 🤣 I am a 24 year old nanny in Minnesota with 5 years of child care. duties will be dinner, putting down with the 4 kids. My base rate for one kid is 22, 2 kids is 25 with this family.

Based off other posts on this page, I think around $30-35 an hour would be fair for 4 kids. And for a helper maybe $25-30? What do you think. Money is such an awkward conversation. Thanks!

Oil type to put in my audi a5?

I have a low oil symbol on my dash. It says to add a quart in. What oil should I use for my 2011 Audi A5 2.0 Turbo 4-cylinder? From my research it seems 5W-40 synthetic oil. Let me know what you think. I’m taking it to the shop tomorrow to make sure that’s the only issue.

Thanks!

So what the hell is this. The check engine light was on, I thought it was the gas cap because it wouldn’t click and lock all the way. Took it to the shop, got the machine to read my car and this came up. I’m like okay thanks I walk it, seems fixable.

Then I get in my car and it doesn’t start. The ECP light goes on? It’s in limp mode or something. Have to jump it. Works fine. Now the trunk isn’t opening. I’m taking it to the Audi shop tomorrow.

But i’m just depressed. I just got this car Sunday completely clean when I got it, brand new engine, transmission, and breaks. Is this a simple fix or is my car fucked somehow with electrical? 😭😭

Please be kind. My first audi and my first car bought on my own!

I closed my gas cap, but I noticed it didn’t make the clicking noises to show that it’s completely twisted shut. I didn’t think it was a big deal but now the check engine light in my car is on, which might be because the gas cap isn’t twisted all the way. I tried it and my dad tried it and we can’t get it to click no matter how hard we turn it. Any tips?

audi a5 2011!
