I am increasingly reading ebooks and my normal oled smartphone is very tiring to read even when I have dark mode and stuff.

I recently tried a BOOX color gen 2 e-ink but man it just too much degradation in the screen.

Would the NXT paper screens like the NXT paper 70 pro or whatever be a good compromise in terms of comfort of reading for a long time of the eink with the quality of a traditional smartphone screen?

I don't think there was any update or anything that prompted this... but recently I've noticed that when I open the Photos app on the P10, it no longer defaults to my "Camera" photos?

Instead it just combines all my photos from all my folders and albums together?

Is there a way to restore it back to the old defaults where it defaults to my Camera photos?

Has anyone experienced this?

I bought some items from Amazon Japan and the item arrived damaged... basically the box was damaged to such an extent that it looked like one of those construction dump truck where the tape at the top was keeping one of the short side of the box connected to the rest of the box.

It was a miracle the items didn't completely fall out of the packaging...

Items were damaged and I reached out to Amazon Japan seeking a replacement. I was apprehensive when they said that I could only return for a refund or live with the damage items...

I followed their instructions to ship via DHL and insurance etc.... since they promised to reimburse the return shipping fee provided I have a receipt... and it is Amazon right... their customer service is better than most still.

I reached out to customer service getting a case set up for the reimbursement and shared the receipt of the shipping... and then nightmare began.

I waited for the 7-10 day processing time of the ticket and then started following up afterwards.

Basically my entire evening for the last several weeks been 5-7 hours bouncing between different customer service chat personnel.... while on the phone trying to get my refund back...

Just got off with a "higher" up CSR, and he said that he sees that the ticket was processing for more than 2 weeks and that multiple people I reached out to over the last several weeks did "escalate" it... He stated that it was highly unusual that the billing manager approved the reimbursement of the $410.80 back to my credit card yet take so long to process...

What recourse do you have in this situation??? Would sending to Jeff Bezos's email thing even work for this situation?

So when ordering the Sony REON POCKET PRO , my order email and order page said that it would deliver July 9-13.

I think a rabbit decided to start a nest in my backyard.

Outside camera shows a rabbit sitting in the garage driveway, and it always kick open the brick that blocks the underneath of the gate leading into the backyard.

Took look this afternoon and I see 1 baby rabbit in my flower bed that I couldn't scare off with noise.

Not sure if there are more, but I would suspect so...

Looking for a good quality service that can help remove the rabbits from the backyard, destroy the nest to prevent them from coming back and apply some non toxic rabbit repellent to keep them out.

I am new to all this knife things... and I am looking at buying some kitchen knives that aren't just the cheapest thing at Walmart.

I'm looking into Tojiro knives, and I have some questions regarding how to best sharpen them.

I'm concerned about Tojiro's 9-12° double bevel blade angle on each side.

Now I know that one would use a whetstone or a grinder to sharpen knives, but I've cut myself while using a whetstone before and I'm not confident in locking in the angle to keep it correct.

However, some of the other more rigid alternatives like Sharpeners or those HORL roller type sharpeners don't usually have 9-12 degrees? they seem to mostly do 15 or 20 degrees?

So how problematic is it if in the future I use one of those alternative sharpener tools for a 15 degree edge?

Kinda hard to decide between something like a Shun or Tojiro since Shun at least sells sharpeners type tools at their 16 angle (and I presume going from 16 to 15 degrees is less problematic than 12 to 15?)

Also Tojiro classic Damascus 8 inch chef knife (classic is always out of stock) for 191 dollars is probably better than a Shun classic/ Premier for people who are just cooking at home/ not crazy fancy?
