I’m trying to get my kids to do some work for spending money/saving. Pre-teen/teens. But not sure what they should be charging.
What are you paying your own kids or neighbor kids for informal work like yard work, babysitting?
All input welcome.
Interested in alternative income stream ideas as well like lemonade/candy stands, selling crafts, bottle collection etc.
If you’re like me and forget to get it done earlier.
Lower effort, high reward hikes like an easy hike to an awesome lookout or waterfall or something. I’m looking for medium length 4-6 hour but not too intense with scrambling or anything. Anywhere on the island but suggestions for Strathcona would be great.
I was walking the dog this morning and had to avoid slugs every few feet. I realized when the forest gets crispy and dry I don’t know where the slugs go. I assume they find moisture somehow. Do they dry out and die? Do they hide in the soil? Do they find the nearest mud hole? Are they more drought resistant than they seem? There must be a biologist/slug enthusiast here that can answer this question.
For the Fallout fans out there.
