my dad is one of the harshest coldest people i know which is actually so needed in his profession as a doctor because he can remain calm, clear, collected, strategic, and thinks better under emergencies and he literally saves lives because of his unique personality. btw my dad is one of the smartest poeple i know and literally has a photographic memory
BUT
if I told him i got pretty much my 12th street sweeping parking ticket in about 2 years since i've been working in LA he would say:
"you did this to yourself. you dont sleep enough. you dont eat enough. you have no one to blame but you. Stop compromising your health and your body and your sanity for money and this is your fault. You should do less. work less. stop saying yes to things wehn youre stretched thin. And it’s just another parking ticket (I still havent paid my speeding ticket either and i have kept this a secret from him too). At least you’re still alive. and it wasnt a tow, it wasnt a boot. it wasnt a suspended registration. be thankful you weren't in a car accident. parking tickets are easy."
None of these things actually helps me. i litreally cant afford another $75, when i've already paid over $1500 in parking tickets and speeding tickets. the shame is eating away at my insides and i have no one to talk to and just wanted to vent if new dads could adopt me and possibly make me feel better.
tldr; got a parking ticket that i cant afford and i've been crying all day
