Dry in Pull-Up Overnight, But Pees in Undies

Has anybody ever experienced this? My almost 4 year is completely dry overnight in his pull-up. Like seriously it’s been over a month or two since he had pee in his pull up in the morning. But every time I try to ditch it, he pees the bed. It’s so weird. Over the last month I’ve put him to bed in just underwear 3 times and he’s peed in the 2 of the 3 times. Yet when I put him back in a pull up in between tries, it’s dry.

I don’t mind keeping him in them if he’s not ready, but it’s just so strange to me.

Will she EVER babywear safely???

Talking about bad parenting decisions and she literally has her baby trapped in a suffocation risk every day.

How much do you think all the food Lorelai ordered at Yale on the first night cost?

I know it’s totally a suspension of belief scene that single mom, perpetually broke Lorelai Gilmore can feed an entire dorm floor of girls copious amounts of take-out. But still always boggles my mind anyway. And then nothing even comes of any of those friendships seemingly forged that night.

TW: MMC

I’m just over 16 weeks pregnant but just found out today that baby stopped growing at just over 12 weeks. Doctor is recommending Cytotec management in the hospital, but I’m really questioning if I should just go ahead with a D&C. It’s what I wanted initially, but the doctor said he prefers Cytotec at this point so he doesn’t have to do the curettage part at the stage. But I’m worried the Cytotec is going to be traumatic and intense this far along.

Any advice?

3 Car Seat Configuration

If you have a car with 3 rows (2 captains seats, bench in the way back) with 3 car seats, how do you configure them? Who sits in the way back? Oldest?

I’m pregnant with my 3rd and trying to figure out how I want to configure the car seats in our van when the time comes and what will work best for car rider line especially.

My oldest is 6 (will be 7 right around when the baby is born, middle is 3 now but will be 4 when the baby comes, and then there will be a newborn of course. I feel like it makes the most sense for my 6 year old to go in the way back since she can undo her own buckle and she can usually put it back on, but sometimes she struggles which is what gives me pause (if it’s left tight, sometimes she struggles to get the clips in the bottom buckle, but if I let some slack out after she gets out, then she can’t tighten it enough once she gets back in). I also have the option of moving her to a high back booster around then and then she can just deal with the seatbelt herself easier. She’s big enough, but I wanted to ride out the 5-point harness longer if possible. It’s not the end of the world to switch her though especially if the alternative is her not getting her harness on correctly.

Then do I put the newborn on the right side and have my daughter have to scoot past the rear facing seat to get in and out for car rider line or do I put my 3 year old on the right and have her scoot past him? My 3 year old goes to preschool but I have to get him out of the car myself to go there, so it’s not an issue of him getting himself out and situated.

I’m probably way overthinking this 😅

The more active, the less tired

I swear the more activity my daughter has in a day, the less tired she is. She had her first day at a zoo camp- 6 hours outside in the heat and dirt and fresh air and she’s still awake at 10pm despite being in bed since before 9.. how is that possible?? Kids, man. Wish we could bottle that energy.

Why can she never keep her stories straight?

I don’t follow her so anything I see is either on here or if she pops up on my FYP, but I swear every time I do see her it’s a different story. Zoey is sleeping great their woes are over or Zoey has never once slept through the night ever. This video she’s talking about how Zoey has never ever slept through the night until this vacation and now she is, but I recently saw her commenting on how amazing Zoey was doing sleeping (and how simple it was) just a few weeks or maybe a month back.

Also interesting how she’s totally pro-cosleeping at this point. Even with the baby. Such a swing from the ‘my baby died and people who cosleep are insane’ from the beginning.

Kids Following Around House

Has anybody ever experienced their kid(s) being anxious about you disappearing inside the house? My 3.5 year old (also my 6 year old but less her- I think she feeds off of brother because she’s naturally anxious) has been having issues for, I’d say, probably the last two (but an uptake in the last one) months where he’s very anxious when I leave a room at home. It could be to walk 20 feet from one room to the next or go to the bathroom on the same floor he’s on. If he didn’t see me leave the room and realizes I’m gone, he will starting running around the house screaming and crying. If I announce where I’m going or even just get up and move to another area of the house where he can see me, he will follow me. If I’m in the bathroom he’ll try to open the door or stand there and knock if I lock it. He’s better when daddy is home but still usually follows me around. But he will accept that I need to go upstairs by myself or whatever better if my husband is home. And when he’s just following me around he’s not acting upset. He’s smiling and laughing. It’s only if he loses sight of me and can’t find me immediately that he freaks out.

The strange thing is that before summer break, he was totally fine at preschool. And he just did a 5 hour per day summer camp last week and was totally fine there. Zero issues with me dropping him off and staying for the day without me. So it doesn’t seem like he has issue with actually being separated from me.

It’s driving me absolutely insane because I cannot take a step in my house without “where are you going?” “What are you doing?” “Mommy” “mommy” mommy”. I’m trying to have empathy for the fact that he’s going through an anxious phase or whatever, but hearing your name even if you take one step away from the couch about 8000x a day gets to ya 😅

Anybody experienced something like this before?

Maureen Calling Rory

When Sherri was in labor was one of the stupidest storylines. There was a baby shower full of women just absolutely giddy to play all those silly, over the top baby games and they need to call a high schooler that barely knows Sherri to come be her support person?

I’m watching that episode right now and it just grinds my gears how stupid it is 😂 and Maureen is one of the most annoying characters in the show. Thank goodness we don’t see her again.

Me and my husband had been tossing around the idea of having a third last fall, but we ultimately decided against it (because of time, money [we can afford a 3rd but like college savings and stuff is going to be expensive x3], chaos, etc). I still felt kind of back and forth about it, but in the last few months I’ve really felt comfortable with the decision. I got to a point of being totally content and done.

..and now I’m unexpectedly pregnant. Just found out two days ago so I’m very early and still in the shocked phase. I’m not going to end the pregnancy, but to say I’m not super thrilled at the moment is an understatement. And that also makes me feel like an asshole because I should be excited, but I’m just not.

So please share your positive stories about a third (or more) whoopsie pregnancy and baby. I need to hear it.
