Today's Wordle is a word I've never heard of. Almost lost my streak.
I'm an ELA teacher. I know a lot of words. Not enough, apparently.

I have a terrible habit of getting too "adventurous" while having a good session. I make too many aggressive/stupid bluffs. I'm a profitable low-stakes rec player (1/3, but I prefer tourneys). How can I kick this habit???
Last night, for example, I was playing in a 1/2 home game, got up about $250 profit ($200 buyin, got up to $450 stack), then proceeded to donk off about $100 in two hands. At the wsop event I played recently, I literally wrote in pen on my palm "don't do stupid shit". It did help. Any other ideas??? Thank you!
Hi, I'm not an avid cyclist, so please bear with me. The back tire on my wife's bike went extremely flat. When I connect the air pump to the tube, it shows 0 psi, as if it's not even connected to the tire. I believe the issue is the valve being disconnected from the tire (see picture). I can move the valve up and down very easily. I tried searching on Reddit (of course) and a previous user mentioned holding the valve in place while pumping the air in, but that didn't work. Any other suggestions? This isn't an expensive bike, it's purely for joy riding, so if it's a big hassle to fix, we may just sell the bike as is. Any and all suggestions are welcome, thank you!
I have a bizarre situation and desperately need some advice. I teach middle school ELA in Georgia, btw.
I did not renew my contract at the end of last school year because the school (mostly admin) was very toxic and it was very far from my house. I was looking to teach in a different district, the one in which I live. I have been applying for countless (at least 30) jobs with almost no responses. However, on three separate occasions, after I've emailed the principal to let them know that I've applied via Frontline (applitrack), I've gotten a reply saying they cannot find my application on Frontline. I've provided the principal with my resume and my Frontline applicant ID#. They still can't find me, but they say they wanna move forward with an interview, based on my resume and experience, and we'll figure out the application issue down the road. HOWEVER, in each of these instances, the principal has emailed me again to basically say, "never mind, we had a charge of heart, we wanna cancel they interview." Ummmm what???
I contacted Frontline to find out what's going on and they say that the district hr has not allowed permission for principals to view my application. Also, what???? I contacted the direct hr and got no response yet. Here are my three theories:
it's actually just a technical glitch connected to my application... But that doesn't explain principals changing their mind out of nowhere.
the district, for some reason (perhaps my previous AP gave me a terrible reference or is trying to get me blacklisted, if that's even possible?) didn't want me to work there and it's basically shadow banning me
basically the second reason, where my AP gave me a terrible reference and is initially intentionally trying to torch my future opportunities, and principals can eventually see it and are completely scared off
Any thoughts? Ideas? Opinions? Suggestions?
Hi, I posted on here maybe a week ago saying that I'm gonna play in my first wsop event (gladiator) and asking for advice. Link is here for reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/poker/s/bh2jQ7tD4Y
Well, I played day 1C and min cashed ($600). I played pretty tight, but I was happy to cash. Then I played 1D because I'm freerolling at that point, and I played more aggressively because of it. I ended up cashing again, doing even better ($742)! Thanks everyone for the advice and support. I'm very proud of myself and will play some wsop circuit events near my hometown in the future!
Also, any advice to survive and advance in the cheapest wsop event, besides win my flips and fold pre? Thanks!
I'm pretty much exclusively a tourney player. I've only played cash in a casino once, though I play in a weekly 1/2 home game. Which casinos should I check out for a chill, low stakes cash game while I'm in Vegas? Do most games have a max buyin? If so, what can I expect? I'm comfortable buying in for $300, but I don't wanna sit down at a table and everyone else has stacks near $1k.
I'm going to play in the $300 gladiator event next month. It'll be my first time playing in the wsop. Anything I should know in advance or any suggestions, be they poker related or otherwise?

I'm a profitable player, though I wouldn't call myself "good". I tend to play a bit tight, but take stabs when the opportunity presents itself. I've played in only one multiple-day tourney ever, so a little nervous about the grind of ten-hour days, if I get that far.
Hi, are there any local low-statues poker games or tournaments? Preferably not the ripoff events they hold in bars, where they take like 50% for charity. I like to play maybe once or twice a month. I live in Buford btw.
I've just started my MAT program to get a teaching license I'm currently teaching in middle school with a provisional license. I've come across my first assessment which requires that I reference two "credible sources" in my response. Where do I find credible sources to cite? Do I need to access the WGU online library? I'm pretty sure I can't just cite from the course material. Thanks for the help!
