Fourth of July

Anyone else having a lot of pet/fish sales today? It’s not overly busy besides petcare and I really didn’t expect that. I understand the Christmas rush but the fourth of July??? Really??

Pet sitting a beardie

Hello! My coworker is going on vacation and I am petsitting her beardie for a week. She has a huge 6ft by 4ft enclosure at home but is temporarily in a 40g at my house while her owner is away. She is eating very good and seems to be handling the change in environment well. Her owner said I could take her out and she likes to sleep on people so I did it last night and she eventually fell asleep on my chest. I honestly am just wondering if beardies actually enjoy being out of their enclosure occasionally? I have never owned one myself and I know they probably all have differing personalities. Should I just leave her be for the week or is letting her out once a day a good idea? I don’t want to stress her out anymore but I also feel bad that she is in a 40 g tank right now, and want to give her room to move around and be out. She doesn’t seem stressed out when I have her out but I don’t know beardies very well so I could be wrong. What would you do in this situation?

Pet sitting! Need advice

Hello! I am pet sitting my coworkers ball python for a week. We moved his entire enclosure to my house since we are neighbors. I know moving definitely stressed him out as it would any creature. My biggest worry is that he is in the process of shedding! He has very cloudy eyes and rough skin and I have been keeping his humidity as high as possible and I am not handling him at all. I feel like the timing isn’t great because he is already stressed out being in a new environment and now he’s shedding. Any tips on making him more comfortable? Is there anything else I should do or do I just leave him alone and keep him humid. I have never had a ball python myself so I am overthinking everything rn. He ate about 4 days ago.

We have had wild birds fly into our store in the past, and they always end up finding their way out eventually. Recently we have had a robin in our store for the past couple of days and shes been pooping everywhere, clearly stressed out and in dire need of food and water. We are trying everything to lure her out of the store with no luck! I set out a bowl with some water and another with mealworms near the back entrance. Any tips?
