New Mexican?

I heard a rumor - like a couple of years ago - that someone was trying to open a New Mexican restaurant here. So with that in mind, is anyone aware of restaurants that serve New Mexican food? I've got a serious craving for red enchiladas and some carne adovada. Not to mention a Blake's Lotaburger green chile cheeseburger.

If they were unfancy comfort food places like Cafe Castros or The Pantry in Santa Fe, that would be all the better.

Filtersorb CT

Does anyone have experience with or knowledge of Filtersorb CT (beyond what's in the brochure)? It's a combination of Filtersorb-SP3 and Filtersorb-SPA.

My water is "moderately hard", and also contains phosphates. I've been having issues with calcium orthophosphate scale in my hot water lines, so the fact that this media is supposed to be effective for both cations and anions is pretty intriguing to me.

Pickup softball or baseball games?

For years and years and years, there was a pickup softball game every Sunday afternoon at Ramsey Park. It was a pretty laid-back affair, and had gotten to be popular, lots of people showing up. But then sometime in 2010s, the City did a big flood mitigation project in Rosedale and repurposed left field as a yard to store pipe and equipment for about 18 months. That killed off the Sunday game. It never recovered.

So with that in mind, I'm looking for a similar pickup softball or baseball game situation where people can pop in once in a while to play a game or just play a few innings and take a few at-bats. Does anyone know if there's any regular pickup games going on around here?

I'm not interested in joining a team, nor in league play. Ain't nobody got time for that kind of commitment.

PSA: Westbrook Metals is moving out to Burleson Rd

Just dropped by to pick up some round stock. They have a banner that says they’re moving soon.

I’m so bummed out about this. It was such a convenient place to pick up metal stock for welding and fabrication projects. That whole light-industrial area near Lamar/Airport that has been around for decades and decades is giving way to gentrification. This sucks.
